Sonia Kashuk is known for her gorgeous limited edition brush sets but this year she’s marking her spot with her cosmetics too. Sonia Kashuk has a knack for whipping up beautiful highlight powders and bronzers (like Goddess) and she’s done it once again this spring in her new limited edition Knock Out Beauty Collection rolling out at Target. I recently took a trip to Target and I didn’t see any new Sonia Kashuk goodies but the fabulous GirlGetGlamorous on Instagram happened to spot the new spring collection and was kind enough to share a sneak peek. The collection will include a new, limited edition brush set (of course) and this stunning Golden Gloves highlighter. Just look at that imprint! We all know I’m a sucker for a pretty highlight so I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for this beauty to pop up at my local Target. And you should too! Sonia Kashuk has a pretty great track record with highlighters and bronzers so I know Golden Gloves is going to be a hit (no pun intended). I can’t wait to grab it!
Will you be picking up the Sonia Kashuk Golden Gloves highlight powder?
Alright ladies get ready to hightail your butt to your local Ulta because Too Faced has new goodies for you! On top of the lovely Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette, they’ve also whipped up a creamy line of Le Matte Lipsticks that are now available exclusively at Ulta. If you follow me on Snapchat, then you probably know that I had a chance to meet with an amazing Too Faced makeup artist and vendor to give me a helping hand in training my beauty advisors on all the new releases and most popular products this season. Not only were the ladies of Too Faced a huge help (and super fun) but they also came bearing goodies and sneak peeks! I got a chance to see the Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette up close and personal and it’s everything I thought it would. So beautiful! I also got a chance to swatch a few of the new Le Matte Lipsticks before they hit stores and let me tell you: they’re everything!
The new Le Matte Lipsticks are super creamy and glide on so smoothly with full coverage in a single swipe. The formula has a balm built in to help moisturize and smooth lips–something totally new to the matte game. The fabulous gals at Too Faced gave me the full scoop on the Le Mattes and had me pretty amped up. They’re designed for gals with dry lips like me that often struggle with matte lips showing every fine line, flake and sucking all the moisture out of lips. The Le Mattes are supposed to be moisturizing with a smooth creamy formula that doesn’t emphasize fine lines and dryness. Instead, Too Faced claims they make lips look soft, smooth and kissable with tons of pigmentation that lasts and lasts. I didn’t get a chance to try them on (just yet!) because we had a lot to cover in a little time but I did get a chance to swatch them for you guys. Check it out!
Makeup has always been a weakness for me but last holiday season it got really bad. So many brands were pumping out amazing sets and palettes that I just couldn’t resist them. Especially all those darn palettes! From eyeshadow palettes to cheek palettes, I was hauling them all and falling in love quickly because they were just oh so good. The only downside is that most of them were limited edition so I had to rush through swatches and reviews like a mad woman so you could get your hands on them too before they quickly disappeared. That’s the one thing I hate about limited edition products!
Every now and then, makeup companies make a bad move that makes us side eye them a little. Lime Crime, however, is notorious for consistently making bad moves so a lot of makeup junkies tend to avoid their products like the plague because of them. I’ve always found makeup fun and stress relieving so I consciously avoided Lime Crime too because there was just way too much drama and controversy surrounding them. But I have a hard time resisting a good sale so when Dolls Kill, a secure site (shade but no shade), marked down a chunk of their Lime Crime stock after New Year’s I figured it was a good time to finally give them a fair shot.
Don’t you just love Instagram leaks? I know they can be a real pain in the ass for most makeup companies but I can’t help but get excited every time I get a sneak peek of the next hottest thing in beauty before it releases. Too Faced has been upping the ante all year with their new releases of Melted Chocolate Lipsticks, Chocolate Bon Bons Palette and the Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette (dropping soon!) but the cuteness doesn’t stop there. The upcoming summer collection is bound to be a doozy too thanks to new, limited edition Sweet Peach Palette. The Sweet Peach Palette seems to be the sweeter cousin of the Chocolate Bar Collection featuring 16 neutral shadows that smell like peaches. Yum! The last thing I need is another neutral palette (or anymore eyeshadows in general) but I’d be lying if I said the swatches that LarLarLee shared on Instagram didn’t tempt me. Just look at those warm browns, golds and that gorgeous green. I needs it and I wants it! ?
The Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette is said to be limited edition and should be popping up online and in stores around April 14th for $49. I think it’s going to be a hit for neutral shadow lovers and makeup junkies alike and I can’t wait to check it out! Will you be grabbing the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette this summer?
Buying new beauty products is easy but finishing them is hard. Really hard. There’s always something new and shiny around the corner touting to be the best thing since sliced bread and every now and then (or almost always) we give in to see if it’s truly worth the hype. It’s a vicious cycle, man. I’m definitely guilty of loving one thing and then leaving it by the wayside when a shiny new product comes along to take its place. However, there are times that I tend to stick with a product ’til the very end because it’s just too damn good to be replaced. Those, my friends, are what we call holy grail products. They make you wonder, “How the heck have I ever lived my life without this stuff?” I’ve actually discovered quite a few holy grail products this year that I’ve managed to finish up (or put a serious dent in) before spring that I’m dying to share with you lovelies. Let’s get started, shall we?
Are you intrigued by liquid lipsticks but always found them too drying? Problem solved! ColourPop has released a brand spankin’ new line of Ultra Satin Lip liquid lipsticks that pack just as much pigment as their popular Ultra Matte Lipstick formula but this time with a satin finish and more comfortable formula. The Ultra Satin Lip lipsticks just went live today and they’re already a hit! There’s 16 shades available for $6 plus 5 new matte Lippie Pencils to help you get your pout spring ready the Colourpop way. It looks as if 2 shades have already sold out but these are a permanent addition to the ColourPop lineup so I imagine there’s going to be a restock very soon. I recommend making your way over to ColourPop to place your order before more shades start disappearing!
I’m sure we’ve all lost count how many times we’ve heard the age old advice,”Don’t sleep in makeup!” There’s many reasons for that though. For one, makeup can clog your pores and sleeping in your beat face can cause some serious breakouts–even acne. Secondly, your skin repairs and replenishes itself as you sleep so it’s best to give your skin room to breathe and do its magic simply by washing your face. Once you get removing your makeup every night down to a science it’s time to beef up your nightly skincare routine to really give your skin a helping hand at recharging itself at night.
One of the best products you can add to your nightly skincare routine is a good, hydrating night cream. Every night, skin works to create fresh, new skin cells and push them to the top layer for a clear, glowing complexion. There’s lots of things that can slow down that process though. Factors like lack of sleep, aging, an unhealthy diet and more can make the overnight recharging process a struggle causing dull, dry skin that looks flaky and uneven while causing noticeable signs of aging. That’s why we all need a good night cream. No matter how young or old you are.
The makeup world is all about trends and the latest lip trend on the beauty block is lip oils. Higher end brands like Yves Saint Laurent and Clinique have whipped up a line of them and now budget beauty brands like Milani are hopping on board to give us more options at a reasonable price. ‘Cause a girl’s gotta have options! I’ve tried a lip oil a while back by Yes to Coconut and I liked it but not quite as much as I like the new Milani Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatment.
The Milani Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatment is a hydrating lip oil formulated with a blend of natural healing oils including Jojoba, Avocado and Tsubaki oils with the added benefit of additional natural oils to target specific concerns like moisture, fine lines and more. There’s 8 lightly scented translucent shades to choose from each with a soft, chunky curved applicator to hug the natural curves of lips and lock in moisture. I’ve tried 3 of the 8 shades so far and I have to give Milani a pat on the back. I’m impressed!
