ColourPop More Better Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick Review

ColourPop More Better Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick

There’s a ton of things to love about ColourPop but the Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks are what I love the most. Every other week, I’m popping a shade (or two) in my makeup bag because the formula is super long wearing and the colors are just way too bomb. From nudes to vampy purple, there’s a ton of shades to fall in love with and carry around in your makeup bag until the end of time. Lately, I haven’t had as much time as I’d like to do really do my makeup so I’ve been sticking to nude lips to keep things simple. However, we all know I can’t stick to a nude look for too long so I had to whip out of my new, bolder additions to my ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick Collection: More Better.

More Better is described as a deep violet wine but on me it’s a vibrant fuchsia with a hint of red that gives it a funny berry feel. At first, I was a little disappointed when I swatched More Better because it didn’t look like that deep sexy wine shade I’d been seeing over Instagram. Then I slipped it on for Valentine’s Day and just couldn’t bare to part with it after seeing how bold and beautiful it looked on my complexion. As well as all the compliments I racked up wearing it. More Better may look different on everyone but I can definitely assure you that works for a variety of complexions and always looks beautiful.

Like the rest of the Ultra Matte gang, More Better has a lightweight, slightly runny texture that applies smoothly and evenly with intense pigmentation. It sets almost immediately after application to an ultra matte finish that just doesn’t quit. More Better holds on for around 7 hours before I start to notice some slight fading on the inner portion of my bottom lip. As you probably guessed, More Better does have a tendency to suck the moisture out of your lips thanks to the ultra matte finish so it’s best to exfoliate and prep with a good lip balm to prevent it from emphasizing the texture of your lips as well as flaking and peeling. On the upside, More Better plays nicely with balm and gloss so it’s easy to add a moisture boost to your lips without fear of the color sliding off or looking all crazy. Of course, the ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks aren’t for everybody but if you can handle a little dryness in sacrifice of all day color then I think you need to rush over to ColourPop to order More Better. It’s too pretty to pass up!
