Before turning 25, my skincare routine was super simple. Just cleanser and moisturizer. Now I use everything under the kitchen sink because my skin doesn’t bounce back as easily as it used to. I could repeatedly fall asleep in my makeup without my face falling off the next day. Or spend days chilling in the sun without sunscreen (the horror!) or a care in the world about dark spots, fine lines or wrinkles. Long gone are those days. Sigh.

Now, I have a complex skincare routine that includes everything from masks to eye cream and even serum. Yes serum. Although I still look like a baby my dry skin is already starting to show some slight (yet majorly annoying) signs of aging like increased dryness and fine lines.

My first serum of choice was the Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate. Back when I was working for Bobbi Brown, I used to sneak over to the Lancome counter next door and play with Genifique all the time because it had such a luxurious feel. It was only a matter of time before I gave in and invested in my first serum.

I don’t regret my first pick one bit. The Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate has a lightweight gel texture that’s moisturizing and absorbs rather quickly. Upon application, it has a soothing cooling effect that my dry skin just loves. Once Genifique fully absorbs, my skin is baby smooth, plump and radiant. Since I’ve been using Genifique my fine dry lines have been much less problematic and my skin always looks and feels firm, smooth and soft with a radiant glow. Plus, my complexion has become more clear and even.

If I hadn’t already received the Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Serum from work I would totally repurchase the Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate in a heartbeat. Hell, once I polish off the Juice Beauty serum I still may repurchase Genifique just because it was oh so good to the last drop and I’m not quite sure how I’ll adjust to life without it now that I’ve used it all up.
