There’s tons of things to love about working in the world of beauty but one of the best perks is all of the free goodies to play with. Hands down! Being a Prestige Manager at Ulta is a lot of hard work but receiving gratis goodie bags always makes it worth it. Especially when I get to try some of the hottest new products on the block!
January was all about glowing skin so I got to try a ton of new skincare goodies but this month is back to the makeup with tons of new releases for spring. There’s a new collection or product (or two or three) popping up every week this month so there’s lots of fun to be had in the Prestige department and you certainly don’t want to miss out!
Last week’s training introduced 2 new Prestige products and an entire haircare line that just hit Ulta. First up is the Eprouvage haircare line formulated with progressive plant cells including redensyl, Egyptian blue lily, French oak and vegetable keratins designed to prevent hair loss. I received the Replenishing Leave-In Conditioner which Eprouvage describes as a daily conditioning spray that targets weakened areas of the hair strand with potent antioxidants to neutralize environmental damage while strengthening and smoothing hair. I use leave-in conditioner almost daily as a moisturizer for my thirsty relaxed tresses so I’m looking forward to seeing what it’s all about.
Next up is the new Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Pearl which is absolutely gorgeous. We first saw this beauty introduced in the limited edition Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow Palette last holiday and now it’s back as a permanent edition to the Shimmering Skin Perfector family. Pearl is a soft luminescent white that was designed with pale beauties in mind but it’s actually quite beautiful on all complexions. The white base almost disappears when applied leaving just a soft pearl glow that’s not nearly as scary as it looks in the pan. I’ll have to show you better than I can tell you!
Finally, the Tarte Tartelette Tease Palette is in town! Tarte has whipped up yet another palette this spring and it’s perfect for travel. Or pairing with the original Tartelette or new Tartelette in Bloom palettes. The Tartelette Tease Palette features 6 neutral shades including 4 mattes, a lustre and a metallic to create everyday eyes on the go. It’s a small palette but it packs a might punch as it includes 2 solid crease shades and a touch of shimmer to whip up a complete eye look. I do wish it had more of a transition shade for my complexion but I think I’m going to love it.
There’s also some old goodies that are getting a little love this spring too. Ulta is really pushing their way into the Prestige market which bigger launches, more events and even new brands. High end brands like Clinique and Lancome have made their way to Ulta in an effort to up the luxury and cater to every makeup junkie out there. My Ulta store has a full Clinique boutique and we also carry Lancome’s entire mascara wardrobe to coat your lashes the luxury way. I received deluxe samples of Definicils, Hypnose Drama and the Cils Booster XL primer. I also received a full size tube of Grandiose which I was super excited about because it’s receives nothing but great reviews and it features a unique curved wand that I’m just dying to try.
Since the Gwen Stefani Collection is all the rage at Ulta, Urban Decay sent over a box of goodies for my Prestige team to enjoy. We all received a full sized Eyeshadow Primer Potion (which I love!), a Moondust Eyeshadow in Glitter Rock and 24/7 Glide on Eyeliner in Oil Slick. I’m a big fan of UD’s eyeliners and shadows so I already know I’m going to love them both and can’t wait to create a look with them. I’m already thinking about how good Glitter Rock will look paired with the Tartelette palette. ?
Will you be picking up any of the new Prestige releases at Ulta this spring?
