Makeup can seriously give a girl trust issues! For weeks, people have been uploading their NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick hauls on Instagram from CVS. “Just check the store locator,” they said. So I did. Damn near every CVS in my area claimed to have the new NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks so I went out in search of them. Each time I came up empty handed. In a single day, I hit maybe 5 CVS stores just to learn that store locators may possibly be the spawn of satan. To this day, I still haven’t spotted the NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks at CVS but I learned that I can always count on trusty Ulta to deliver the goods. Thank you Ulta!
The new Lingerie Liquid lipsticks rolled in with the rest of the new NYX spring collection featuring 12 shades of sultry nudes in a liquid-to-matte formula. You guys know I love me some liquid lipsticks and edgy nudes so I had to pick up a handful of them. I ended up grabbing:
- Honeymoon grey toned beige
- Embellishment muted purple
- Beauty Mark chocolate brown
- Teddy warm rich brown
They’re all beautiful nudes that’ll look great on a variety of skin tones. Plus, they have a bit of edge to them so they won’t look like your typical boring nude that your mom would wear. Nah. The Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks are way more appealing with sexy grey and brown undertones to help unleash your inner diva.
I’m currently wearing Honeymoon at the moment and I have a feeling I’m going to like the formula. Upon application, it reminds me bit of the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid formula with a slightly thick mousse texture that dries rather quickly. Honeymoon also has a similar tight, uncomfortable dry down like the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks but once it sets it doesn’t feel too bad on the lips. It’s a little drying but most liquid-to-matte lipsticks have a tendency to be drying so I’ll have to really put Honeymoon (and the rest of these babies) to the test before I judge the NYX Lingerie formula.
Have you tried the new NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks yet?
