Jouer Kitten Liner Review

Jouer Kitten Liner

When I received an email from IpsyOS for free tickets to Ipsy’s Generation Beauty Conference in LA I didn’t know what to expect besides a good time. Let me tell you. It was so much better than I expected! There were tons of brands in attendance with their own booths surrounded by some of the most beautiful and stylish people I’ve ever seen crammed into one huge space. I was like a kid in a a candy store meeting brand representatives and seeing so many friendly smiling faces. Just when I thought things couldn’t get any better I started racking up goodie bags galore filled with brands I’ve never tried but were eager to test out.

Jouer Kitten Liner

One of the many interesting products I received was a full sized Jouer Kitten Liner. It’s a sleek liquid liner pen with chic packaging and a very fine tip. Gel liner is usually my go to but sometimes (most times) I’m in a rush when I have early morning shifts so I don’t always have the time or patience to carve out my signature winged liner using two different products. On those days, I prefer a one stop shop that’s easy to apply, super intense and lasts all day. Something like the Jouer Kitten Liner.

Liquid liner is probably the most difficult of eyeliner formulas to master but felt tip pens like the Kitten Liner make life easier and less messy. The Jouer Kitten Liner features a precise, fine tip with a medium sized applicator that’s not too short or too long. I love that it’s able to navigate through my thick bushy lashes with precision and ease without wobbling all over the place causing nasty mistakes. The Jouer Kitten Liner also has an impressive formula that’s very intense in a single swipe and sets very quickly so there’s no smudging on my hooded lids or smears during application. The Kitten Liner also holds up well throughout the day surviving my watery eyes without much fading, smudging or flaking throughout the day.

My only gripe with the Jouer Kitten Liner is that it sometimes struggles with my watery eyes during application. For some reason, my eyes are extremely watery in the morning so eye makeup can be a bit of a hassle. It gets so bad some mornings that my falsies don’t want to adhere correctly and the Jouer Kitten Liner seems to slide right off in the inner corner as I apply it. I can’t fault the formula too much though because most eyeliners (and the rest of my eye makeup) slides right off when my inner corners are fiercely watery in the morning. However, once the waterworks stops, the Jouer Kitten Liner glides right back on and stays put once it has the chance to fully set. The Jouer Kitten Liner is a little pricey at $28 but I would still repurchase it because it has a pretty good formula and it’s easy to apply. Not to mention, I’ve been using it religiously for a couple months now and it isn’t showing any signs of drying up. If you’re in need of a solid liquid eyeliner I think the Jouer Kitten Liner is worth a try!
