It’s peanut butter jelly time! I know I’m not the only one who randomly breaks out into song and dance every time I think of the new Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Eyeshadow Palette. The song matches my excitement so well because I already believe Too Faced’s latest palette is the best thing since slice bread (pun intended) and it’s definitely something to dance about. When the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette released last year I had to get my hands on it because Peanut Butter looked like the most perfect transition shadow I’ve ever laid eyes on. Once I finally got my hands on Semi-Sweet, it was only a matter of time before my pan of Peanut Butter had a massive dip in it.
It turns out that I wasn’t the only one going nuts over Peanut Butter because the warm orange-y brown shadow became such a fan favorite on social media that Too Faced decided to create an entire palette based on its creamy Peanut Butter goodness. The new Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette ($36) is a new addition to the Too Faced lineup this spring and is now available in stores as an Ulta exclusive.
The Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette is a small extension to the Chocolate Bar line featuring the same antioxidant-rich cocoa powder formula as its Chocolate Bar cousins but this time with more of a peanut butter scent. The Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette features 9 warm neutrals with a touch of a purple including:
- Bananas soft peachy gold with fine gold shimmer
- Extra Creamy matte creamy beige
- Jammin’ dark chocolate with golden sparkle
- Jelly vibrant orchid
- Nuts About U matte brown with red undertones
- Spread the Love medium peach with gold sparkle
- Peanut Brittle metallic burnt orange
- Peanut Butter matte medium orange brown
- Peanut Butter Cup metallic golden bronze with gold sparkle
I’m a sucker for warm neutrals and I love purple just as much as I love pink so grabbing the Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette the day it released in stores at Ulta was a no brainer for me. It’s just too perfect! There’s 2 warm orange brown mattes to help me carve out my crease whether I want a soft transition or everyday crease shade with Peanut Butter or I want to kick things up a notch with the more darker and more intense Nuts About U. I’m also digging the lighter shades like Bananas and Spread the Love as I think they’ll be great popping on the lid for natural everyday looks. I’m not too sure I’ll use Extra Creamy much because it’s a bit too pale and chalky looking on me but I know I’m going to be putting Jammin’ and Jelly to good use because they’re such beautiful shades. Jammin’ is more on the sultry smokey side so I think it’s going to look great all over the lid with Nuts About U blended into the crease. Jelly, on the other hand, is a more fun and vibrant purple so it’s going to be great for a pop of color on the bottom lid or brightening inner corners. I can’t wait to play with this beauty!
