Once spring hits, I’m usually itching to pull out my bold lipsticks and make the transition from vampy to bright lips. However, I’ve been kinda digging nude lips lately. It doesn’t happen often but every now and then I go on a nude lip kick that makes me want to go full on nude all the time. Makeup wise that is. ?
Lately I’ve been finding myself rocking soft eyes with a natural blush and nude lip because it’s the kinda look that’s simple yet still pretty. Nude looks don’t take up as much time and they’re effortlessly beautiful with a classic feel that’s approachable yet still makes me feel as pretty as a princess.
Thanks to Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty this spring, it’s been quite easy to play up my nude looks with coordinating nude lipsticks for only $3. You can’t beat that! Every Sunday during 21 Days of Beauty all of the Ulta Beauty Collections lipsticks are just $3 which is a killer steal considering they’re usually $8 a pop and actually pretty nice quality. I picked up a handful of spring ready shades recently but this time around I was drawn to gorgeous nudes Ulta has to offer.
Believe it or not, the Ulta Beauty Collection is surprisingly good quality that I feel is vastly underrated. After discovering how amazing the Contour Kit turned out to be I’ve been finding myself wandering over there more and more only to find other incredibly tempting products to add to my collection. Seeing as I’m a straight up lipstick junkie it’s no surprise that the lipstick wall is my first stop every time. This past Sunday I ended up taking a trip to the Ulta Beauty Collection Lipstick wall and found 4 stunning nude lipsticks in under 5 minutes. I kid you not, it happened that fast! As I was grabbing lipsticks to restock the Beauty Steals table I started swatching testers and next thing you know I was coveting 4 shades of my own to add to my collection. Hell, at $3 a lipstick can you blame me?! I ended up grabbing:
- 224 Coffee Break Lipstick light milk chocolate brown creme
- 230 Chocolate Kiss Lipstick deep chocolate brown creme
- 260 Sweet Mocha Nude Lipstick medium plum brown creme
- 240 Pink Chocolate Nude Lipstick medium bluish pink with slight shimmer
I’ve been testing Chocolate Kiss and Pink Chocolate so far and I like them a lot. Chocolate Kiss has a really soft, lightweight creamy texture that’s very airy and moisturizing with a nice sheen. While Pink Chocolate, on the other hand, has a slightly thicker texture that seems a bit more pigmented yet still very comfortable to wear with a moisturizing formula. Neither of them seem to be very long wearing but I don’t mind the shorter wear because they’re nicely hydrating with a weightless feel that works perfectly on my dry lips so I don’t mind reapplying them. I totally recommend grabbing a couple of the Ulta Beauty Collection Lipsticks as soon as possible. Easter Sunday is the last Sunday to grab them for $3 and the buy 2, get 2 free sale on the Ulta Beauty Collection will be ending soon too. You definitely don’t want to miss these awesome deals!
