Dry skin is a hassle no matter where it is but I think it can be the most challenging when it’s your eyes. Dry eyes can really wreck a good beat from making concealer crease and look cakey to even causing your eyeshadow to crease and go on patchy. Since I’ve turned 25, I’ve been suffering from chronic dry eyes that have become a real pain in my ass. I’ve tried a couple of eye creams now that seem to help a great deal but I knew it was time to kick it up a notch with an eye cream specifically designed for treating and nourishing dry eyes overnight. That’s why I didn’t hesitate to pick up the new Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm when it popped up at Ulta.
Using an eye cream every morning is a good start but most times dry skin just needs that extra boost overnight to keep the flakes and annoying fine lines at bay for the next morning. After checking out the ingredients in the Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm I figured it was exactly what my parched eyes needed to help retain moisture and help my makeup apply and last a little better throughout the day. It’s formulated with hydrating ingredients like glycerin, coconut oil, aloe vera leaf juice and more that are naturally great for dry skin and very soothing too. Not to mention, very impressive for a drugstore eye cream under 20 bucks!
I’ve been using the Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm nightly for over a month now and I can’t say I’ve noticed any miraculous results but I have seen a noticeable difference in moisture and how my makeup lasts throughout the day. I still have my extra deep fine lines that soak up concealer but my eyes don’t look or feel as dry as they did when I was just using eye cream in the morning. Instead, when I wake up, my eyes don’t look dry at all. They just look normal and healthy while feeling soft to the touch.
Unfortunately, my concealer still creases no matter what formula, application method or powder I put over it but I can’t knock the Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm for that because I’ve tried higher end eye creams that haven’t banished those problems either. I did have slightly better results with my concealer when I used it in the morning too so I definitely think that it works and could prove to be a serious winner for normal to dry skin. If you have extremely dry skin like me I think you will like the Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm as well. Just expect a nice moisture boost with a yummy natural coconut scent and not any extreme miracles!
