Jane Carter Solution Restore Moisture Mist Review

Jane Carter Restore Moisture Mist

Having thick hair is both a blessing and a curse. It’s nice to have lots of volume and body but it’s a lot of maintenance. My thick hair usually requires regular protein treatments and a lot of moisture to keep it healthy, shiny and frizz free. Keeping my hair moisturized has always been a struggle for me because my hair is so thick and dry that it soaks up everything like a sponge and begs for more. It seemed that I can never quite keep my thirsty hair hydrated long enough until I came across the Jane Carter Solution Restore Moisture Mist on clearance at Ulta. This stuff has changed my life!

ColourPop x Karrueche Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks Review

ColourPop x Karrueche Collection

If you haven’t ordered any pieces from Karrueche’s ColourPop collection yet you are surely missing out because Ms. Karrueche showed up and showed up with her KaePop Collection. It’s actually really nice! There’s eyeshadows, bronzer and, of course, liquid lipsticks to help you channel your inner model Karrueche style. A while back, I ordered the Glo Up Super Shock Cheek Highlighter and all of her Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks and couldn’t be more impressed with the shades and quality of her collection. I have to give it to Karrueche and ColourPop. This collection is hot!

PUR Minerals Sun-Kissed Glow Strobe Palette Swatches

PUR Minerals Sun-Kissed Glow Strobe Palette

One of the many good things about working at Ulta is that I get to work with brands that have never crossed my mind previously. PUR Minerals has been around for quite a few years but I’ve never paid them much attention because none of their products seemed to catch my attention. It wasn’t until PUR came out with their new cream highlighting palettes that I finally caught on to the magic of PUR and decided to give them a try. You know I can’t resist a good highlight!

3 Bold Pink Glosses for Spring

3 Bold Glosses for Spring: NARS Place Vendome Larger Than Life Lip Gloss, Ruby Kisses Lively Hot Pink Lip Lacquer, LORAC Vixen Alter Ego Lip Gloss

Spring is in full force with summer right around the corner so why not celebrate with some poppin’ pink lips? This is definitely the perfect time of year to bust out those bold pink lip glosses that have been chilling in your stash all fall and winter. Pull ’em out girl! In honor of Pink Wednesday, I decided it would be a good idea to share a little pink gloss inspiration for you to get in the pink mood and really bring in spring the right way. ‘Cause we all know spring is all about those bold pinks!

ColourPop Matte X Lippie Stix Dropping Tomorrow!

ColourPop Matte X Lippie Stix

I don’t know about you but ColourPop is going to take all of my coins this year! It seems as if every time I blink, there’s a new collection or release that’s got me dying to place an order. It started with Karrueche’s KaePop Collection, Ultra Satin Lipsticks and Brow Colours. Now ColourPop is finally releasing a full line of Matte X Lippie Stix after teasing us with Trust Me and Poppin’. I missed out on Trust Me but I was able to snag Poppin’ as a free gift when ColourPop reached 2 million followers on Instagram. I ended up loving the formula (and bright pink packaging!) but was hesitant to share it with you guys because it was limited edition. Now I can’t wait to share Poppin’ with you guys because it’s making its way back (in regular packaging of course) as part of ColourPop’s new permanent line up of Matte X Lippie Stix. Woohoo! The Matte X Collection will be available online tomorrow so make sure you set a reminder because I’m sure these babies are going to sell like hot cakes the moment they’re released! In the meantime, here’s some swatches from CKey Beauty on Instagram to help you (and me!) plan out your cart once they’re available.

Will you be ordering any of the ColourPop Matte X Lippie Stix?

My Secret Weapons for Brighter, More Even Skin

Murad Essential-C Cleanser, Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner, Murad Essential-C Day Moisture

Fighting those dreadful signs of aging is definitely high up on the skincare priority list but achieving a brighter, more even complexion is certainly right behind it! The only thing more annoying than dealing with fine lines, dullness and wrinkles is an uneven complexion marked with dark spots. Hyper-pigmentation (or dark spots) are common under the eyes, around the mouth and forehead for many people–myself included. For years, I’ve pretty much accepted the fact that dark spots were just a way of life because I had no idea that there was a way to diminish them. Boy was I wrong!

Through the years, I’ve been learning a ton more about skincare and I was shocked to learn how a simple tweak in your routine could transform the appearance and texture of skin. Even when it comes to dark spots. Hyper-pigmentation isn’t a skincare struggle we’re faced to deal with. It’s actually easy to treat and correct with the right products and lots of persistence. Less than a year ago, I introduced 3 new products to my skincare routine just to see what they were all about. After a few weeks of consistently using them I started realize a difference in the appearance of my skin. Not only was my complexion visibly brighter and more radiant but my dark spots were also beginning to fade leaving my skin looking more even and healthy. It would be totally selfish of me not to share my skincare secrets with you so I’m going to walk you through exactly how I achieved a brighter, more even complexion using my 3 secret weapons.

Wet n Wild Summer 2016 Collection Haul & Swatches

Wet n Wild Summer 2016 Collection

I usually have a love/hate relationship when it comes to limited edition drugstore collections because they’re often very enticing but oh so hard to find. However, it’s all love this time around when it comes to the new limited edition Wet n Wild Summer 2016 Collection. This collection turned out to be beautiful and easy to find. Win, win! I spotted a display at the first Walgreens I went to and immediately snatched up both of the highlighting powders and one of the liquid lipsticks. Part of me is dying to go back and grab more because the liquid lipsticks and cream highlighter sticks are still calling my name. The entire display was just so pretty!

How Cute Are These Makeup Bags?!

Walgreens Makeup Pouch Summer 2016

If you’re a makeup junkie like me then you probably like to carry around a handful of makeup in your purse at any given time. A million different glosses and lipsticks. Pressed Powder. Setting spray and lip balm here and there. That’s just how we roll! I used to just toss makeup in my bag in go way back when but now I prefer my purse to be a little more organized (or at least look the part) so I’ve developed a thing for makeup bags. Cute makeup bags to be precise. ‘Cause you can’t put pretty lipsticks and beat face essentials in a basic looking bag. No ma’am!

Thanks to AshBeautyBlog on Instagram, I was able to find the most adorable makeup bags at Walgreens that are pretty much dupes for the Breakups to Makeup bags at Sephora. I’ve yet to see the Breakups to Makeup bags in person so I can’t really comment on how the quality compares but what I can say is that these beauties are super cute, very spacious and crazy affordable.
