It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder

When you have dry skin and fine lines setting powder is probably one of your least favorite products. For people with normal to oily skin, setting powder is this miracle product that refines foundation and concealer for an airbrushed look that’s smooth, shine-free and flawless. For dry skin, setting powder just makes skin look more dry and even cakey as it accentuates texture and fine lines. Pretty much everything you’re trying to hide. I’ve had my fair share of struggling with both dry skin and fine lines and it’s no fun–especially when setting powders are involved.

I’ve gotten a handle on my dry skin quite some time ago but I’m still struggling to diminish my fine lines which causes some annoying creasing issues under my eyes with every concealer I’ve ever tried. The key to keeping concealer from creasing is setting powder but for years I’ve struggled to find just the right one to alleviate creasing without making my dry under eyes look even more dry or cakey. At first, the best I’ve found was the NARS Loose Light Reflecting Setting Powder which works well but can start to look dry if my brush or sponge picks up too much product. Thanks to Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty, though, I was tempted to try It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder and I think it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

When the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder was a Beauty Steal at just $12 I was tempted to do a quick demo in store to see how I like it. Upon touching the powder, I realized just how silky and finely milled the Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder was and figured that it might just be the setting powder I’ve been longing for. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and I’m pleased to say I was right. The Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder has been working like a charm to lock my concealer in place all day without making my eyes look dry, old or cakey like other powders I’ve tried.

I think the key to the Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder is the vitamin enriched formula that also includes hydrolyzed collagen to help treat skin with anti-aging benefits as it blurs away imperfections. It doesn’t completely diminish the appearance of my fine lines but it does make them much less noticeable than most powders without fear of looking pale, ashy or giving me a nasty ghost-like flashback in pictures. I was starting to think all hope was lost but It Cosmetics has completely restored my faith in setting powders with the Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder. It’s incredibly soft and silky and very easy to apply with the included powder puff or a fluffy brush. Of course, there’s still trial and error as it is with all loose setting powders but I think the Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder is definitely one of the more easier to use powders. Most setting powders have a thin, grainy texture that requires a bit more blending or pushing into the skin. Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder, on the other hand, has a much finer texture with a “fluffier” feel that sinks into concealer and soaks up excess product with less effort and less product.

Since I’ve been using the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder my concealer doesn’t crease much at all now and my makeup looks much better by the end of the day. There’s no caked up powder in my fine lines or any concealer pooling into them in the midst of me shying away from setting powder. If you struggle with dry eyes or fine lines like I do then I highly recommend heading to your local Ulta to give the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder a try. Don’t give up the fight just yet!

Yep, I LOVE this powder! I’m 45 with drier skin and fine lines around eyes, and I wear a full coverage foundation (the Marc Jacobs one), and other setting powders can look heavy and cakey on top of it, but not this one! It’s so finely milled and smooth. I use a big fluffy ELF Slanted Kabui brush, and lightly dust a little over my face, focusing on T zone, spritz with a bit of MAC prep+prime, and it looks great! It really does hide pores well and sets foundation.
