LORAC Alter Ego Lipgloss Haul & Swatches
We all know that I’m more of a lipstick girl but when Ulta slashed the price of the LORAC Alter Ego Glosses in half from $16 to $8 I was all over it. How could a girl resist $8 Prestige lip gloss?! LORAC makes some really great quality products that I think are often overlooked because they don’t have the insane cult following like Anastasia Beverly Hills or Tarte. Which is madness because the Pro Palettes alone deserves all the praise in the world. They’re seriously that good!
In fact, the LORAC Pro Palettes are so good that it was only right that I stopped overlooking the rest of the line myself during Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty event. There were a lot of great Beauty Steals but Ulta also tossed in some amazing Hot Buys that lasted all 21 Days long–like the LORAC glosses. The Alter Ego Glosses are lightweight pigmented glosses formulated with a warm, sweet vanilla scent. They’re enriched with an antioxidant rich formula including ingredients like acai berry, pomegranate, grape seed extract and vitamins C and E. The result is a plush, moisturizing gloss with a smooth, shiny finish that makes lips look juicy and kissable.
The LORAC Alter Ego Lip Gloss comes in 16 shades and I settled on 5 of them including:
- Duchess rosy nude
- CEO dusty rose
- Secret Agent plum brown
- Free Spirit deep magenta
- Vixen fuchsia
I live for both nudes and bright, bold colors so these beauties were clear winners for me. At the moment, my favorite of the bunch is CEO. It’s a beautiful everyday “my lips but better” gloss I can toss on and go on my lazy days or layer with my current fave nude lip (because it changes ever so often). I really like the Alter Ego formula too. CEO (and the rest of the gang) are very easy to apply and feel great on my dry lips even as they wear away. They’re also pretty pigmented too so they can be worn alone for a soft wash of color or to spice up lipsticks with a little extra color and a soft glossy shine. Unfortunately, the LORAC Alter Ego Glosses are back to their regular price but I still think they’re worth a try if you love a good gloss.
