Tarte Tarteist Blush Palette Swatches

Tarte Tarteist Blush Palette

Did I mention that Tarte has really been catching my eye lately? Every time I turn around, Tarte is coming up with something new to add to my ever expanding list. One of their latest releases is a limited edition blush palette for Summer 2016 featuring 4 blushes in Tarte’s iconic Amazonian Clay formula. The packaging looks a lot like my dear Tartelette in Bloom Palette with vibrant bursts of pink, purple and white which leaves me to believe it’s going to be a fabulous extension to my Tartelette Palettes for a full face look.

Tarte is no stranger to whipping up limited edition blush palettes but the Tarteist Blush Palette is a little different because this time around it features just 4 shades instead of 5 and they’re all brand spankin’ new and exclusive to the palette. The shades include:

  • Live poppy coral
  • Laugh peachy coral
  • Love nude mauve
  • Dream soft fuchsia

It’s a rather nice mix shades of pink that ranges from a bright pop (Live and Dream) to a more subtle, neutral flush (Laugh and Love). Initially, I wasn’t too sure if the Tarteist Blush Palette would be a good option for dark skin divas but a quick swatch in store led me to believe otherwise.

All 4 shades turned out to look quite beautiful against my brown skin with my favorites being Laugh and Love. I live for a soft, everyday blush and I think Laugh and Love are just what I need to pair with my Tartelette in Bloom Palette. Laugh appears to have a bit more of a pop with it’s fun coral base and golden shimmer but it appears to be more subtle when blended out. Live and Dream are definitely the louder shades of the bunch but I don’t fear they’ll give off clown cheeks as they’re not super duper pigmented and I find that Tarte’s Amazonian Clay blushes have a very natural finish that makes them easy to apply without looking too brash or loud. I’m already itching to really put the Tarteist Blush Palette to the test this week but I think it’s safe to say that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to go ahead and add it to your blush collection before it sells out. You can find it at your local Ulta, Macy’s or online at Tarte for $38.

I love this palette! These are much creamier than my other Tarte blushes; I was surprised! Excellent pigmentation. They look much more coral-toned on me, though.
