If you follow me on Snapchat, then you probably noticed that I’m becoming a bit of a skincare junkie. The older I get, the more I become a huge advocate of taking care of my skin so that my makeup has a clear, healthy canvas to look smooth and flawless every time. Because let’s face it. Sometimes makeup isn’t always to the problem as to why skin is oily, dry or breaking out. It can definitely play a factor in the way skin behaves but most times it’s because the skincare balance is off. Healthy skin is all about balance!
Now that I’m learning more and getting more involved in the skincare world I’ve been a lot more open to trying different products. Recently I was sent the Ultra Hydration Plumping Mask and True Glow Eye Cream to add to my routine courtesy of Valentia and I was eager to give them a try. Both products are formulated with natural ingredients like Vitamins C and E, hyaluronic acid and more so I had a feeling they would fit well into my skincare regimen.
My eyes are probably the biggest problem area on my face as they’re consistently dry with fine lines that like eat up concealer and make them crease. I’ve tried a few different eye creams that hydrates my thirsty eyes but never quite seems to give them exactly what they need. However, Valentia True Glow Eye Cream seems to be a bit better than the eye creams I’ve tried in the past as it’s a little more hydrating and seems to help a little more with creasing. It’s formulated with antioxidant rich ingredients including:
- Astanxanthin a powerful antioxidant that increases moisture levels, smooth fine lines and wrinkles and restores elasticity to the skin
- Resistem natural plant stem cells to repair and protect the skin from stress related aging
- Vitamin C leaves the skin smooth and visibly brighter for a well rested and bright eyed look
- Organic Rose Hip Oil intense hydration to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Amica anti-inflammatory agent key to the restorative process
Together these ingredients help to hydrate my parched eyes and leave them moisturized and noticeably more radiant throughout the day. The True Glow Eye Cream has a very lightweight creamy texture that has light fresh citrus scent that’s both soothing and refreshing. It absorbs quickly leaving my eyes soft, radiant and prepped for concealer with a smooth, even base. I still experience some creasing but it’s not quite as bad as it used to be now that my fine lines are considerably more hydrated. My only complaint with the Valentia True Glow Eye Cream is the packaging. The pump is very sleek and ideal for sanitary purposes as it protects the cream from getting contaminated or expiring too soon but it disperses too much product for me. I find that a little of the True Glow Eye Cream goes a long way so most times I end up wasting product because the pump squirts out a larger amount than I actually need. Otherwise, the Valentia True Glow Eye Cream is a great option for dry eyes or anyone who wants to fight signs of aging without all the harsh chemicals.
I also had the pleasure of receiving the Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask which turned out to be another great product. The Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask is designed to boost collagen production, increase radiance, reduce fine lines and protect skin’s natural moisture barrier. It’s formulated with a of blend of silk protein amino acids and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and nourish skin. The key ingredients include:
- Silk Protein Amino Acid Blend increase moisture content and help in production of collagen and elastin to decrease the appearance of visible lines
- Botanical Hyaluronic Acid when applied topically this plant based substance penetrates deep into the skin to secure moisture, support skin elasticity and structure, and plump skin from within
- Organic Sea Buckthorn Oil an anti-aging wonder berry that results in fewer lines, diminished sun spots, more even skin tone and fire more supple skin
The Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask has lightweight gel texture and light fruity scent that has a slight tingle upon application. The tingling sensation isn’t intense at all and last long either. After a few minutes, the Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask feels soothing with a slight cooling effect that lasts until you remove the mask. Once I rinse it off, my skin is baby soft and supple with a nice radiance and my skincare products absorb and penetration much better. The Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask is a very gentle mask that’s great for my dry skin as it leaves it feeling plump and moisturized rather than tight and stripped like more intense mask. My skin still feels clean and refreshed after using the Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask making it a great mask to use 2-3 times a week without irritation. I think the Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask would be a nice option for people with dry, dull skin and also for more mature skin that needs a good moisture boost in order for skin to appear tighter and more plump.
I was a little nervous to give Valentia a try because I haven’t heard much about them but it turns out that they really know their stuff when it comes to skin. The True Glow Eye Cream and Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask worked really well for my dry skin and has helped to ease the appearance of my fine lines after over a month of using them regularly. If you struggle with dry skin or signs of aging I recommend heading over to Amazon to check out the Valentia True Glow Eye Cream and Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask. They’re both excellent products that aren’t too expensive either at just $25 each. Give them a try and let me know what you think!
