ColourPop is on a mission to take all of my coins this year! I’m already addicted to the shadows, highlighters, lip liners and Ultra Matte Lipsticks but now I’ve become obsessed with the new Ultra Satin Lipsticks. They’re so good! I recently ordered a handful of shades to try and I’ve been pretty much hooked ever since. My favorite of the bunch is probably still Tansy but Panda and Petit Four are quickly creeping into my heart.
Every now and then, I find myself on a nude lip kick but bold lips will forever be my thing so Panda and Petit Four were must haves for me. Panda is a vibrant fuchsia pink with a hint of purple that’s a super fun color for spring and summer and flattering on all skin tones. It has a creamy slightly thick mousse-like texture that glides on smoothly and evenly with tons of pigmentation. Bold liquid lipsticks can be a bit high maintenance sometimes but Panda is surprisingly fuss free and very easy to apply. Panda doesn’t settle into lip lines, emphasize flakes or bleed making it one of the easiest bright pink lipsticks I’ve tried so far. The formula is also very easy on the lips as it doesn’t feel drying at all and wears very well. Panda lasts for around 6 hours before beginning to fade into an even bold pink stain. Panda is the kind of bright pink that every pink lover needs in her stash!
Petit Four isn’t your typical lipstick shade but it looks damn good on! Petit Four is a cool charcoal grey with a slight blue undertone that’s also quite flattering on a variety of skin tones. But, of course, you have to have the lady balls to rock this beauty! Petit Four is edgy, fun and quite easy to wear despite the funky color. Petit Four applies smoothly and evenly with full coverage and creamy mousse-like texture that’s very comfortable to wear. I didn’t find that Petit Four settled into lip lines, accentuated flakes or bled much at all but the color isn’t without flaws. Petit Four wears like a champ for around 3-4 hours before it starts to disappear in the center of my lips leaving a patchy, uneven stain as it fades. It’s not the worst looking sight in the world but it will have you looking slightly crazy with a faded patchy grey pout. The color isn’t perfect but the formula more than makes up for it. ColourPop’s Ultra Satin Lipstick formula is very easy on the lips without that uncomfortable dry down or feeling super drying. The only downside to the Ultra Satin Lipstick formula is that it doesn’t fully dry down so it’s not nearly as budge-proof as the Ultra Matte Lipsticks. Panda and Petit Four transfer pretty easily but the color still manages to hang on a little longer than your average lipstick. If you live for bold, edgy lips without the discomfort and dryness of mattes then I recommend popping Panda and Petit Four into your cart asap!
