Believe it or not, these drugstore brands have been kicking butt and taking names when it comes to highlighters. If you would have told me a year ago that Wet n Wild would drop 2 limited edition highlighters that I would reach for over my Anastasia Beverly Hills or Becca highlighters I would have called you a liar. I think we all know by now that Anastasia Beverly Hills and Becca makes some pretty amazing highlighters that are tough to beat but the new Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powders are giving them a run for their money. And they’re doing it at just $5 a pop!
I thought Crown of My Canopy was absolutely gorgeous but it turns out that Precious Petals is even more stunning. Precious Petals is a shimmering champagne gold with tons of fine iridescent shimmer that dance beautifully in the light. It’s an extremely flattering highlight that looks good on all skin tones from fair to deep. The gold base shows up just enough to add a hint of warmth and a banging gold glow that can be sheered out for a natural radiance or built up for a full on golden goddess glow.
At first, I only picked up the MegaGlo Highlighting Powders because they looked so beautiful in the pan with that pretty flower imprint. However, the formula turned out to be amazing quality! Precious Petals has a soft finely milled texture that’s velvety smooth and adheres well on top of powder and liquid foundations. It applies and blends like a dream allowing you to apply a light layer for a lit from within kind of glow or build it up to full intensity for an intense golden glow that doesn’t look glittery or emphasize pores much at all.
I was also very impressed with how well Precious Petals lasts too. I can apply it early in the morning and still come home 8-9 hours later with glowing golden cheeks. Precious Petals does start fade a tiny bit after 7-8 hours but not much at all. You can easily apply it before work, hit happy hour and have dinner with your golden glow still in tact by the time you get home. I can’t express enough how great the Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powders are. I think they’re a steal at just $5 and everyone needs to grab one (or both) before they’re all gone!
