More Urban Decay Please!

Urban Decay Trance Vice Lipstick, Blunt Eyeshadow, Score Afterglow Blush

Ever since I finally tried the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer and Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation I’ve been kinda hooked. I’ve always liked Urban Decay but now I really like Urban Decay! The Naked Skin line is quickly becoming my go to for a flawless complexion and the Revolution lipsticks (now revamped) are hands down my favorite traditional lipsticks right now so I was super pumped when I found out that my team and I were going to be hitting an Urban Decay training to learn all about the brand and new products. Including the upcoming Vice lipsticks. I seriously thought I was going to lose my mind when the Urban Decay makeup artists unveiled the massive Vice Lipstick vice containing all 100 shades. It was probably the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen!

Urban Decay Trance Metallized Lipstick

There were so many lipsticks to choose from that I didn’t know where to start. I wanted to try them all! Of course, there wasn’t nearly enough time for me to try all of the new Vice Lipsticks but I was able to try on two of them and I’m happy to report that Urban Decay is going to knock this release out of the park. My first pick was Conspiracy, a plum bronze shimmer with a Metallized finish. It went on smoothly and evenly with good pigmentation and a lightweight creamy texture that felt very good on the lips. I was expecting the Metallized finish to feel a little gritty on the lips with all that delicious shimmer but Urban Decay managed to make Conspiracy feel like butter on the lips while giving my lips a nice juicy sheen and lots of glitz. It was hard for me to take it off because the color was so beautiful and the formula was so nice. So when I went to try on Disturbed, a deep brick red with a Comfort Matte finish, I decided to create an ombre lip pairing it with Conspiracy. The result was absolutely beautiful as the colors meshed incredibly well together and the Comfort Matte formula is just as smooth, creamy and easy on the lips as the good ol’ Revolution Matte Lipsticks.

Lucky for me, I ended up receiving one of the new Vice Lipsticks in Trance, a nude mauve shimmer in a Metallized finish. It’s a really pretty neutral pink with lots of fine iridescent shimmer that gives it a nice boost from your typical boring nude pink. Like Conspiracy, Trance doesn’t feel hard or gritty at all. It’s very creamy and feels really good on the lips too. Trance makes for a great everyday lipstick and has me super excited to get my hands on other shades. Starting with Conspiracy!

Urban Decay Score Afterglow Blush

Urban Decay was also nice enough to toss in a blush and eyeshadow too. So nice! I ended up receiving Score Afterglow Blush, a medium pink peach with shimmer. Score is a little light for my tastes but it appears to be a little better when layered. I like that it has a hint of golden shimmer in the mix so it won’t look too flat or ashy on my complexion. I’m a big fan of Bittersweet and Rapture so I’m hoping that Score will work in my favor too as the Afterglow formula is actually really nice.

Urban Decay Blunt Eyeshadow

A girl can never have too many gold eyeshadows so I was happy to see that I also received Blunt Eyeshadow. Blunt is a light golden bronze shimmer that’s a very flattering and wearable shades for all skin tones. It’s incredibly pigmented with a soft, finely milled texture that feels super creamy for a powder shadow. I actually popped in on before writing this post and I absolutely adore it. It’s a great everyday lid color that makes my eyes pop nicely without being too shimmery or having too much fallout. I can simply pop it on with my fingers, blend a little and go. My kind of shadow! Between Blunt, Trance and the Naked Skin line I think Urban Decay is soon going to become one of my new favorite brands!
