Laura Geller Gilded Honey Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator Review
If you haven’t noticed by now I live for a good highlighter. There’s nothing like watching your cheeks sparkle and shine when the light bounces off your face. It literally makes my heart dance every time I see it. Which is why I’m absolutely obsessed with the Laura Geller Gilded Honey Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator. Laura Geller never crossed my mind before I started working at Ulta but it was only a matter of time before I kept hearing nonstop how amazing her Gilded Honey Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator is. You know I can’t pass up checking out a good highlighter so eventually I went to swatch Gilded Honey. The hype is real guys! Gilded Honey is everything everyone says it is and more!
A while ago, Laura Geller had a 30% off sale online so I ran to snatch up Gilded Honey so I could finally have it’s delicious gold goodness all to myself. Gilded Honey is a warm honey gold packed with fine golden shimmer that comes off as chunky glitter when swatched. However, once you sweep Gilded Honey on the cheeks, it practically melts into skin giving it the appearance of being dipped in liquid gold. I just love it! Gilded Honey looks absolutely amazing on my brown skin and even works well for lighter skin tones too making it the perfect golden highlight for everyone.
The glow isn’t the only good part though. The Baked Gelato Swirl formula is bomb too! It’s soft and creamy that it doesn’t feel like a baked powder at all. Which is very impressive because most baked powders have a tendency to feel dry, dense and powdery. Not Gilded Honey though! It almost feels like a cream and adheres smoothly to the skin–even on my dry cheeks. Gilded Honey also blends quite easily too which is very helpful because it’s rather pigmented and can give you a little more glow than you’re used to if you prefer a softer more subtle glow. I love my highlighters to be seen from across the street so I pile on Gilded Honey until it looks like I’ve been rolling in gold all day. I literally feel like Goldmember when I sweep it on. I loooove gold!
Most baked powders don’t last too long but I find that Laura Geller did a good job when she created the Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminators. Gilded Honey lasts for around 8 hours before showing some slight signs of fading. Not too shabby for a baked powder at all! In fact, I think Laura Geller’s Gilded Honey Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator may be the best damn baked highlighter on the market. If you can’t get enough of gold highlighters, then you most definitely need to add Gilded Honey to your collection. I finally got around to buying this a couple of weeks ago, and it totally lives up to the hype. It is simply stunning!!! One of the all time best highlighters ever created. If I ever hit pan, will definitely re-purchase
Isn’t it?? I’m so obsessed with it! The first time I wore it literally everyone was asking what highlight I was wearing. It’s so gorgeous! Have you seen the new stick? It’s just as pretty! It’s a bit softer and more subtle than the powder version but it looks beautiful and would probably look amazing layered with the powder on top!
I got the stick in a light pink, came in a kit, at first wasn’t too crazy about it (prefer gold) , but found out it looks gorgeous on the face, paired with purple and pink shadows/blushes. And love that it’s swipe-and-go. Hoping to get the Gilded Honey gold stick this holiday
Gilded Honey is easily the prettiest one. I think I’m going to pick it up soon. I keep playing with it in store and it’s just making me want it more lol. Now you’ve got me wanting to check out the pink one. I can only imagine how pretty it looks with pink and purple blushes!
