Let Your Skin Take a Deep Breath with Philosophy

Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Oxygenating Oil Free Gel Cream & Oxygenating Eye Gel Cream

When the sun is beaming and causing a sweat, the best thing you can do is take a drink of water and a deep breath. That’s exactly the approach Philosophy took with the new Take a Deep Breath Oxygenating Gel Cream and Eye Gel Cream. They’re like a breath of fresh air and splash of water for your skin. The Take a Deep Breath line is suitable for all skin types but it works especially well for environmentally stressed dehydrated skin. You’re probably thinking, “Environmentally stressed? What does that mean?”

The sun isn’t your skin’s only enemy when you step outside. Environmental factors like pollution, free radicals and even wind can cause signs of early aging, clogged pores and even dry skin. Who knew outside could be such a nasty place? Apparently Philosophy! The Take a Deep Breath skincare line is exactly what you need to add to your routine to moisturize, protect and replenish your skin.

Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Oxygenating Eye Gel Cream

Eyes are the window to the soul and the most delicate skin on your body. The rest of your face may be able to withstand environmental stress and damage like a champ but the eyes are typically the first area to be affected. Before you know it, there’s fine lines, wrinkles and some serious dryness that you just can’t shake. That’s why I’ve been loving the Take a Deep Breath Oxygenating Eye Gel Cream. It’s a lightweight gel cream with a subtle clean scent that absorbs quickly and gives my dry eyes all the moisture they need without feeling heavy, greasy or making my concealer slide right off. The Take a Deep Breath Oxygenating Eye Gel Cream feels like a breath of fresh air on the skin as it’s slightly cooling, soothing and very refreshing. Since I’ve been using it my eyes don’t feel quite as dry and my concealer seems to apply and blend smoothly. I think the Take a Deep Breath Oxygenating Eye Gel Cream is the perfect lightweight eye cream for summer.

Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Oil-Free Oxygenating Gel Cream

For the rest of your face, Philosophy whipped up the Take a Deep Breath Oxygenating Gel Cream. The texture and formula is very similar to the Eye Gel Cream except that it’s a teeny bit thicker. However, the Take a Deep Breath Oxygenating Gel Cream still feels incredibly lightweight and absorbs rather quickly. I’m almost halfway through my jar and I can’t get enough of it! The Take a Deep Breath Oxygenating Gel Cream literally feels like a drink of water for your skin. It’s very hydrating and makes my skin feel soft and supple while giving it a nice radiant glow too. I love how it takes my morning skin from dull to plump, hydrated and luminous the second it touches my skin. The only downside is that the Take a Deep Breath Oxygenating Gel Cream doesn’t offer any sun protection. The formula does include antioxidants and and anti-pollutants to help neutralize environmental aggressors like free radicals but there’s no SPF in sight. Which I think is a little backwards considering what Philosophy is aiming for with the Take a Deep Breath line. However, I don’t mind mixing a little sunscreen as the formula plays nicely and still works like a charm.

Overall, I think both the Oxygenating Gel Cream and Eye Gel Cream are amazing for dehydrated skin that needs lightweight hydration that isn’t too rich or heavy. The combination works perfectly to hydrate my dry skin and has helped improve the texture and appearance including making my skin look smoother, more radiant and even. I do wish both the moisturizer and eye cream included sunscreen but I still love them both and think they’re a great addition to my summer skincare routine. I highly recommend the Take a Deep Breath line to anyone with dry skin who’s starting to see those pesky signs of aging. I have a feeling you’ll love them as much as I do!
