New Clinique Skin Goodies!

New Clinique Skin Goodies!

I’ve been sleeping on Clinique! A while ago, I went to a cluster training to learn more about their makeup and skincare products and I was completely blown away by how well they perform. Especially at such affordable price points. I was very intrigued after training and ended up trying a few things from my gratis bag that I absolutely loved including All About Eyes and the Turnaround Concentrate Extra Radiance Renewer. I soon discovered that Clinique isn’t the “old lady” brand that I once thought it was. Now, I’m starting to see the magic of Clinique and I’m starting to become a huge fan.

Clinique Hello, Radiance Kit

I’m still slowly but surely getting into the makeup but I’m definitely loving Clinique’s skincare products. They’re so good! I was so impressed with the Turnaround line after trying the serum that I snatched up the new limited edition Hello, Radiance Kit. It’s one of several mini kits Clinique introduced this summer for just $9.50. As you can imagine, they’re selling rather quickly because $10 is a great deal for pretty much an entire skincare system–even in deluxe sizes. I was a little disappointed I wasn’t able to get my hands on the Moisture Surge set but I couldn’t be happier that I was able to snap up the Hello, Radiance Kit so I could try more of the Turnaround Revitalizing Line. The Hello, Radiance Kit includes:

  • Turnaround Revitalizing Serum (0.24 oz)
  • Turnaround Revitalizing Lotion (0.50 oz)
  • Turnaround Overnight Revitalizing Moisturizer (0.5 oz)
  • Mesh travel bag

The sizes are tiny but I can easily see them lasting for a week or two. I’ve already tried the Turnaround Revitalizing Serum and loved it so I was excited to have a little more of it. I’m also pumped to get my hands on the Turnaround Revitalizing Lotion and Overnight Revitalizing Moisturizer because I demoed both of them at the Clinique boutique and couldn’t get enough of how hydrating they are and how soft they made my hands feel. I’m still working through my new Mario Badescu Alpha Grapefruit Cleansing Lotion (which I’ll tell you all about) and my Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar night cream so I won’t crack them open just yet but I have high hopes after seeing how the Turnaround Concentrate Extra Radiance Renewer (now Turnaround Revitalizing Serum) transformed my skin.

Clinique Sonic System Purifying Brush Set

A good training will make you want to buy all the things and that’s exactly how my last training with Clinique turned out to be. I was already curious about trying the Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush after the first training but it wasn’t until I got to see it in action with all the different brush heads that I was completely sold. The Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is similar to the Clarisonic Mia as it features just one speed and interchangeable brush heads to fit your skin type. The difference with the Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is that it’s much smaller so it’s easier to hold and use and it’s way more affordable ($89.50 vs129). I find the two systems to be very similar but I like the smaller design of Clinique’s a lot more.

I’ve been using the Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush for a few days now and so far I’m very impressed with how well it gently deep cleanses my skin. The first time I used it, my skin felt so much more clean, breathable and soft. Plus my skincare products like my toner, serum, eye cream and moisturizer absorbed so much faster and better. The Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush also seems to help gently exfoliate my skin as it looked brighter and more radiant after the first time I used it. As you can tell, I’m pretty obsessed with it so far! The only thing I don’t like is the standard Purifying Brush Head. It features a split bristle design that combines a mix of soft bristles and harder ones to help cleanse each area of the face. The harder green bristles are designed for the T-zone but I find it hard to exclusively use the softer white bristles everywhere else on the face. The green bristles aren’t super duper hard but they can definitely feel a little rough on my dry skin. I think switching to the Extra Gentle Brush Head may be a much better fit for me.

Clinique 3 Step: Foaming Sonic Facial Soap, Clarifying Lotion, Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion +

The Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush does come sold separately but some Clinique locations also offer sets that feature limited edition designs (like this cute hot pink polka dot one) and deluxe 3 Step samples. I’ve been very curious about Clinique’s famous 3 Step skincare system so I opted for the set so I could eventually give them a try. I’ve already tried the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + years ago and I really liked how lightweight yet hydrating the formula turned out to be but I’ve never tried any of their cleansers or Clarifying Lotions. I’ve heard so many great things about them though that I’m dying to try them to see what the hype is all about. I did try out the Clarifying Lotion on my hand a few times at the Clinique boutique and I was very impressed how clean and soft it made my hand feel. I also got a chance to try the new upcoming Clarifying Lotion 1.0 that’s extremely gentle and alcohol free that I’m just dying to get my hands on because it feels absolutely amazing! If you’ve been underestimating Clinique, like I have, I recommend you head to your local counter or boutique to give their products a chance. Clinique seriously knows their stuff!
