Has anyone ever told you that you look better naked? No, I haven’t been peeking in your window girl! It’s just a known fact that we all look better Naked. Especially when Urban Decay is involved. Bold, smokey eyes and bright lips are a fun way to express your creativity and experiment but I think every woman looks her best with a soft, natural beat that enhances her natural features. Nothing more, nothing less. That’s exactly the approach that Urban Decay has been taking for the last few years with their Naked line of foundation, concealer and eyeshadow palettes.
It seems that Urban Decay was going back to the bold side with the Electric Palette and Alice in Wonderland Collection but they’re still staying true to their Naked roots with the new Naked Ultimate Basics Eyeshadow Palette. The Naked Ultimate Basics Eyeshadow Palette features 12 brand new matte eyeshadows, a mirror and a double ended brush. I used to be a huge fan of the Urban Decay Naked Palettes until I realized that they’re way too heavy on the shimmer. I love glitter as much as the next girl but I don’t like any shimmer in my crease so it can be tricky for me to create an entire look using a single Naked palette. I appreciate Urban Decay for releasing the mini Naked Basic Palettes but the shades in both palettes aren’t really that versatile for darker skin tones. The new Naked Ultimate Basics Palette looks much better though and includes darker, warmer shades that we all could use in our stash to complement our Naked Palettes.
Thanks to Instagram, we were blessed with a sneak peek by Urban Decay and swatches from MakeupbyLeyla which look mighty tempting. I love that there’s more dark, warm shades that I can use to transition and carve out my crease to help my Naked Palettes really pop. It seems that the new Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics will be joining the Naked Palette family very soon on September 18th via Urban Decay for $55. I look forward to checking it out in stores soon!
Will you be adding the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette to your collection?
