There has been a lot of makeup collaborations this year but I’m feeling it. Sometimes it can get a little annoying to see a celebrity endorsing a brand or collection. But other times, it’s a breath of fresh air because I don’t always know who these people are. Between Tarte and MAC, I’ve been introduced to so many new designers, makeup artists and YouTubers that I probably never would have come across otherwise. Now it’s Anastasia’s turn to introduce me to someone new with her upcoming eyeshadow palette for fall.
Anastasia Beverly Hills has teamed up with celebrity makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic. At first, I was like, “Who the heck is Mario Dedivanovic??” A quick Google search quickly showed me that he’s Kim Kardashian’s fabulous makeup artist. Love her or hate her, Kim Kardashian always slays when it comes to her makeup. Her choice in clothes (or lack thereof) may be questionable but her highlight and contour game is on point! While Kim Kardashian may get all the props for looking gorgeous but Mario D. is the one who really deserves all the props for working his magic on her time and time again. Anastasia must feel the same way because she teamed up with Mario to create an eyeshadow palette with brand new shades all handpicked by the star makeup artist himself. The Master Palette by Mario features 12 neutral earth tone shadows that range from subtle nudes to wearable green and blue. I kinda dig the color scheme. It’s a beautiful palette for fall that I could see working great for all skin tones from fair to deep. There’s a nice mix of shimmers and mattes as well as warm and cool toned shades so I can definitely see the Master Palette by Mario being a hot palette once released. It’s set to release online at ABH September 29th and October 4th for Ulta, Sephora and Macy’s for $45. I feel like I have everything I need in the Modern Renaissance Palette so I think I’m going to pass on the Master Palette. However, there’s no denying that it’s a beauty!
