Ulta 21 Days of Beauty: Day 2 Haul

Becca Lantana Mineral Blush, Flowerchild Mineral Blush, Opal Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured, Bare Minerals Bare Skin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer in Dark to Deep

There’s been a lot of exciting things happening in the beauty community these days but the most epic has to be Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty event. It’s rare to catch a discount on Prestige brands of makeup and skincare from any retailer. But I think it’s especially hard to do at Ulta because 99% of their coupons exclude the higher end brands. However, Ulta makes it up to us twice a year by giving us some pretty steep discounts on certain brands and products during 21 Days of Beauty.

I thought the last 21 Days of Beauty was something special but it seems that the Beauty Steals and Platinum Perks are way better this time around. For instance, this time Platinum members receive free shipping on Beauty Steals (except Ulta brand I believe) and receive exclusive online only Platinum Beauty Steals that are pretty nice. I thought I went kinda crazy during the last 21 Days of Beauty but this time around I’m basically going insane because there’s so many good deals that a makeup junkie like me just can’t pass up.

Becca Lantana Mineral Blush

Fall’s 21 Days of Beauty started off with a bang with half off Murad’s Clarifying Cleanser and Urban Decay Revolution Lip Glosses the first day and then half off Bare Minerals concealers and Becca Mineral Blushes on the second day. I wasn’t interested in the Day 1 Beauty Steals but Day 2 had me all kinds of excited. I’ve been coveting Becca’s Mineral Blushes for months as they’re so pigmented, easy to blend and look amazing on the skin. I couldn’t believe they’d be just $16 as an online only Platinum Perk. That’s such a great deal!

I had my heart set on getting at least 4 of them but I slept in that morning after waking up randomly in the middle of the night and could only snag 2. The Becca Mineral Blushes sold out incredibly quickly. I’m not surprised because they’re amazing and it’s hard to snatch them from Ulta without a unicorn rare Prestige coupon or saving up your points. Thankfully, my top pick, Lantana, was still available when I woke up. Lantana is a bold poppy orange that’s incredibly pigmented and bright yet works well as a natural blush for brown skin. You’ll just have to use a light hand, of course.

Becca Flowerchild Mineral Blush

I was also able to get my hands on Flowerchild. Flower child is a much softer pinky peach with a subtle golden pearl. In the pan, Flowerchild looks a little light but it’s actually quite beautiful on brown skin. I’ve been swatching Flowerchild in store for weeks and I was impressed with how nicely it transformed on my skin. Flowerchild definitely has more of a summer vibe but I can still see it transitioning well into fall as a soft, everyday blush for a little glow. I still wish I could have gotten my hands on a couple other shades like Songbird and Nightingale but I guess I’ll just save up my points and redeem them to cushion the blow. ‘Cause $32 a pop is a little steep for blush!

Becca Opal Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured

On top snagging two beautiful Mineral Blushes, I also received a deluxe sample of Becca’s Opal Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured as a free gift with purchase. Becca is known for her stunning highlighters and I have a handful of the powder ones and a liquid one. I’ve never tried the cream version so I was excited to get my hands on Opal because it’s a great shade for all complexion. Opal is a soft champagne gold and the Poured formula is very lightweight and sheer so it’ll work well for drier skin to give a natural lit from within glow. I plan on using it as a base for my powder Shimmering Skin Perfectors to get my strobe on and glow all over the place.

Bare Minerals Bare Skin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer in Dark to Deep

To be honest, I’m not a huge Bare Minerals fan at all. However, I could have done a backflip when I saw that all of their concealers were going to be half off as a Beauty Steal for Day 2. I’ve color matched Bare Mineral’s Bare Skin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer on a ton of people and it manages to look great every time. Old or young. Fair or deep. The Bare Skin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer offers amazing medium to full coverage while looking natural, radiant and never cakey. My under eyes are pretty dry and sport a very fine yet deep line that loves to soak up concealer so I decided to give the Bare Skin Concealer a try since it worked so well on my guests with similar problems. I haven’t tried it just yet but now that I’m back and all settled from Gen Beauty NY I’m going to give it a test drive soon!
