No matter how much you love makeup or how much makeup you own there’s always that one signature look you regularly rock. For me, it’s a killer wing, falsies and a bold lip. That’s my go to pretty much everyday or whenever I’m in a rush and don’t have time to fuss with blending 5 eyeshadows or highlighting and contouring. I suppose that’s why I ended up indulging in both of the beauty steals on Day 20 of Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty. Day 20 was all about wings and a poppin’ lip and that’s all me!
Despite the mixed reviews, I’ve been digging the Too Faced La Matte Color Drenched Matte Lipsticks since they released because they’re super matte and crazy long lasting but they’re not too drying. The formula reminds me a lot of MAC’s Retro Matte formula except they’re a teeny bit creamier so they don’t drag across the lips as much and they’re a little bit more comfortable to wear. I love to rock a solid matte lipstick in the fall so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to add 2 more to my collection with the Too Faced La Matte Lipsticks.
I already own Pitch Perfect and Hey Gurrl so I went back for Troublemaker and Maneater when Ulta knocked them down to just $11 for a one day only beauty steal. Yassss! Who can resist a good matte for close to $10? Not me! I picked Troublemaker, a bright fuchsia pink, because it’ll be great for my flirty, playful looks to add a bright pop of color. Plus, I know it would make a killer ombre lip combo when paired with a vampy purple liner or lipstick. Like Maneater. Maneater is a deep blackened plum that just screams fall. It’s the kind of lipstick you pull out when you’re feeling badass in your leather boots and matching leather jacket. You definitely can’t be timid when you’re a Maneater!
When you love to wing it, you’ve gotta keep plenty of eyeliner on deck! I wasn’t going to grab the Benefit They’re Real Push Up Liner at first but it swatched so intense and smooth that I figured I might as well snag it while it was just $12. What could it hurt? The They’re Real Push Liner sports a super creamy gel formula that comes in a variety of colors but I stuck with regular ol’ black which turned out to be super intense with a nice matte finish. The They’re Real Push Liner comes with a rubber angled tip that seems to make creating wings and cat eyes a breeze. Just click, flick and go. Exactly what I need in my life! I’m still carving my way through my trusty Bobbi Brown Black Ink Gel Liner so I haven’t used They’re Real Push Up Liner just yet but I’m thinking about whipping it out next week since I’ve got some early mornings that I need to breeze through so I can sleep in a little longer.
