On Wednesdays We Wear Pink!
You thought I forgot about Pink Wednesday didn’t you? Nope, girl! I’ve been a little busier than normal but we all need a little pink pick me up from time to time. This week’s pink pick features a few cute goodies from Stila that I received as gratis. I loved how Stila coordinated the pinks all together because I love pink and everything is so girly and cute. Plus who couldn’t use some pink lipstick and blush?
Stila has been busy reinventing their brand and products over the last year and I’m liking it. They’re getting rid of basic cardboard boxes and plain packaging for a more luxury look and feel. Everything’s now gold and all grown up. I love it! I’m also loving the new products Stila’s been coming up with too. Like the new Stay All Day MATTE’ificent Lipsticks. It’s a new line of matte lipsticks Stila recently released with a creamy texture that feels good on the lips and gives lips a smooth matte finish. I received the shade Papillon, a soft rosy pink, that’s feminine and flirty. Papillon is pretty pink that would work best on light to medium skin tones but it can still work with my dark skin divas. All you need is a little lip liner and Papillon will work just fine as a soft everyday lip.
Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks are another score with their smooth creamy formula that’s very long lasting but not too drying. I received the shade Rose that’s most definitely for my fair to light skin ladies. Rosa is a very pale cool pink with a strong white base that’s very noticeable on my brown skin. Rosa is kinda sorta doable with a vampy lip liner or lipstick to create a cool ombre effect. I certainly couldn’t pull it off on its own but I have a feeling I could create some really pretty looks with Rosa.
I’ve never used a liquid blush before but Stila has me very curious to give it a try with the Water Blossom Aqua Glow Watercolor Blush. The Aqua Glow Watercolor Blush formula is like a liquid-cream hybrid with a very airy lightweight texture that’s thin and easy to blend. Water Blossom is a bright magenta with purple and pink shimmer that’s mostly sheer so it’s not nearly as daring as it looks in the pan. When applied, Water Blossom gives off a subtle pink wash of color and a hint of shimmer. It’s absolutely beautiful and even looks amazing on the lips as a lipstick topper or along with a liner.
