There are a few things I look forward to every holiday season: sweet potato pie, comfy scarves and Stila’s liquid lipstick sets. Every year, Stila releases a Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick set or two and I make it my duty to grab one. The Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks really do stay all day and aren’t too drying either. Which is a huge plus when it comes to matte liquid lipsticks. They’re a little pricey though at $24 a pop so I like to snag them in holiday sets where I can get the most bang for my buck.
There’s usually 2 mini Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick sets released every holiday season and this year I was able to get my hands on the larger one. Last year, I missed out and only got a chance to snag the 3-piece set but I was prepared this time around and walked away in victory with the 6-piece Stay All Day Sparkle All Night set. It features 5 liquid lipsticks ranging from nude to red including:
- Fresco peachy beige nude
- Bacca vibrant fuchsia pink
- Patina mauve pink
- Rubino burgundy wine
- Baci pale mauve-grey
The nudes can look a little scary in the tube but surprisingly they look beautiful on brown skin. Of course, you’ll need a good, deep lip liner to pair with Baci and Fresco but they’re still rather pretty nudes that aren’t ashy or pale. So far, Patina is my favorite because I can skip the lip liner if I choose and I like that it adds a bit of color to my everyday looks. I’m also loving Rubino and Bacca because they really pull the set together and add a much needed festive touch. Nudes are great but sometimes it’s nice to switch it up and go a little bold on the lips. Both Rubino and Bacca look beautiful on all skin tones and adds a lovely pop of color.
I’m not sure if Stila is planning on adding even more shades to the Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick lineup soon but I’d openly welcome them with open arms. Fresco and Rubino are brand spankin’ new shades exclusive to the Stay All Day Sparkle All Night set that are quite pretty. Fresco is a gorgeous nude for my dark skin divas as it looks much darker and pulls more brown on the lips so it adds just the right amount of color. It’s rare that I finish a liquid lipstick (or anything else for that matter lol) but I would love to own a full sized version of Fresco just in case. Rubino also deserves some full sized love as it’s a bit different from the typical reds you see. Most red lipsticks are super bright and either super cool or super warm to boot. Rubino is deeper, more mysterious and laidback so anyone can pull it off. Stila should seriously consider making them both permanent!
The star of the show this year, though, is the new Glitterati Lip Top Coat in Transcend. It’s a transforming lip gloss loaded with pink, blue and silver shimmer that adds a touch of sparkle to your matte lips. I love matte lips because they look sexy and sophisticated and they last forever. However, the holiday season is all about the glitz and glam and that calls for a little glitter. Transcend comes all the way through with tons of fine glitter that take matte lips from flat to fab. I love me some glitter so I’m already looking forward to popping Transcend on top of these beauties and sparkling everywhere I go.
If you love liquid lipsticks and glitter as much as I do then you definitely need to get your hands on the Stila Stay All Day Sparkle All Night Liquid Lipstick Set. You can find it at Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom and more for $39. Go get it!
