Now that we’ve got all of my January empties out of the way let’s move on to my faves, shall we? The plan was to get my faves and empties up together. But having a jam packed birthday weekend and then a crippling sinus infection the following week really threw me off. Way off. I’m talking mouth breathing for 4 days straight and putting my pants on backwards for an interview off. LOL!

Needless to say, January was a very long month but a lot of good came from it. Like ringing in the New Year and spending my birthday and Valentine’s Day with my amazing boyfriend. And trying a handful of new products that turned out to be the bomb.com. There’s nothing better than love and good makeup, right?

Juvia's Place Mini Masquerade Eyeshadow Palette, Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow Highlight & Contour Palette

Juvia’s Place Mini Masquerade Eyeshadow Palette

Have you ever came across an eyeshadow palette that makes you forget you own other palettes? Lately, that’s how I’ve been feeling about the Juvia’s Place Mini Masquerade Eyeshadow Palette. It’s such an amazing palette that I found myself reaching for it all the time last month. And this month too! The Juvia’s Place Mini Masquerade Eyeshadow Palette features 16 pigmented shadows with a wide range of colors including 8 warm neutrals and 8 bold brights. It’s a very different color scheme but I dig it because it makes it super easy to create any look my heart desires without having to reach for other shadows. What I really love about the Juvia’s Place Mini Masquerade Palette is the quality of the shadows though. They’re so pigmented and blend so well. I just love the Mini Masquerade Palette!

Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow Highlighting & Contouring Palette

Highlighting palettes are nothing new but something still excited me when I first swatched the new Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow Highlighting and Contouring Palette. It has 4 highlighters (2 warm and 2 cool) as well as a contour cream and sculpting powder to help add definition. It’s a nifty palette that looks beautiful on my brown and gives me the most beautiful glow that makes my cheeks look like I’ve been playing in sandboxes of gold. So gorgeous! Even with all of the highlighters in my collection, I was always reaching for the Tarteist Pro Glow Palette because I loved the bronzy gold, Fire, and mixing it with other shades to customize my highlight. I just couldn’t get enough of how soft and pretty these highlighters turned out to be. I’m still a little obsessed to be honest.

Milani Golden Light Face and Eye Strobe Palette, Fiona Stiles Miramar Invisible Finish Loose Setting Powder

Fiona Stiles Miramar Invisible Finish Loose Setting Powder

It’s rare that I find a setting powder that my dry eyes can handle but the Fiona Stiles Invisible Finish Loose Setting Powder has definitely been getting the job done. And very well too, might I add. The Fiona Stiles Invisible Finish Loose Setting Powder is very finely milled so it’s incredibly lightweight and doesn’t feel heavy or look cakey. It helps to prevent some creasing and locks my concealer and foundation into place all day so my makeup still looks fresh over 8 hours later. The Fiona Stiles Invisible Finish Loose Setting Powder is definitely a product I can see myself using up soon.

Laura Geller Lip Strip Smoothing Sugar Scrub

My love for liquid lipsticks was beginning to wreak havoc on my lips after December but I just couldn’t bare to give them up because they last so long. Thankfully, I discovered the Laura Geller Lip Strip Smoothing Sugar Scrub. It’s a wonderful lip scrub that’s not too gritty but not too watery so it really softens and smooths the lips while gently buffing away dead skin. The Lip Strip Smoothing Sugar Scrub has been keeping my lips in tip top shape even after rocking liquid lipsticks back to back. Plus, it doesn’t leave my lips feeling sore and raw. I highly recommend trying the Laura Geller Lip Strip Smoothing Sugar Scrub if you have dry lips!

Clinique All About Eyes Serum

Over the last couple of years, my under eyes all of a sudden got super dry and extremely difficult to keep hydrated. I’ve tried a ton of different eye creams that seemed to help at first but would leave my under eyes still desert dry by the end of the day. After having a light bulb moment I decided to give the Clinique All About Eyes Serum a try. It’s a good thing I did too because the Clinique All About Eyes Serum has been the best thing that’s ever happened to my eyes. In combination with a good eye cream, the All About Eyes Serum has had a drastic effect on my thirsty under eyes. Now, they look and feel quite hydrated throughout the day and they’re starting to look brighter too. I even think my fine lines are starting to plump up a bit!

Milani Golden Light Face & Eye Strobe Palette

There aren’t a lot of drugstore brands you can hands down depend on to deliver every time. Somehow Milani beats the odds and manages to put out great cheek products (and lips too!) all the time. I had a feeling the new Face & Eye Strobe Palettes I’d been seeing all over social media would be really good and I was right. Since I’ve gotten my hands on the Golden Light Face & Eye Strobe Palette, I’ve been using it religiously as a subtle, stunning highlighter and as eyeshadow. The Face & Eye Strobe Palettes are surprisingly very soft and finely milled so they feel like silk and blend easily with little effort. I also love that Golden Lights isn’t super shimmery so it doesn’t give that super pronounced “bam!” highlight–if you don’t want it to. The Milani Golden Lights Face & Eye Strobe Palette is truly a drugstore gem!
