I don’t know if you’ve taken a stroll down your local drugstore makeup aisles yet but, if you have, then you probably ended up walking out with a handful of the new Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks like I did. From Instagram to YouTube, these budget beauty matte liquid lipsticks have been making quite the wave on social media. Of course, I had to see what the hype was all about when I finally spotted a semi-full display of the new Wet n Wild Catsuit Matte Lipsticks. So do the Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks live up to the social media hype?
I’m gonna have to say: yes! I’m still getting acquainted with the Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks so I can’t offer you a full review just now. Sorry! However, I’ve been wearing them off and on for nights out and I’ve been quite impressed with the quality of the formula. It’s hard to believe the Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks are only 5 bucks a pop because the quality is comparable to the heavyweights like Kat Von D and Anastasia Beverly Hills. So far, I’ve only tried a couple of shades, but I loved how smooth and creamy they went on and how quickly the formula dried down without feeling super sticky or uncomfortable like some matte liquid lipsticks (ahem, NYX Lip Lingerie!).
Currently, the Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick lineup features 13 shades but I’m hoping Wet n Wild adds more shades soon because I can easily see the Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks taking off even more in the future. And I can see myself purchasing all the new shades probably, too. It’s not often that you come across a good budget beauty liquid lipstick that isn’t patchy, flaky or just all around uncomfortable to wear. But the Wet n Wild Catsuit Matte Lipsticks seem to have it all!
I ended up grabbing the shades:
- 920B Nudie Patootie pale cool beige
- 925B Give Me Mocha rose brown mauve
- 926B Berry Recognize fuchsia pink
- 931B Video Vixen blackened wine red
- 932B Goth Topic deep blackened brown
I love them all but my favorites are Nudie Patootie and Goth Topic, at the moment. Nudie Patootie is very light but makes for one sexy nude on brown skin when paired with a deep chocolate lip pencil, of course. I also like to pop Nudie Patootie in the center of my bold and vampy liquid lipsticks too to for a cool ombre effect that’s fun and edgy. Goth Topic, on the other hand, is more of a sexy statement color that looks amazing on all skin tones. Goth Topic is a little vampy for spring and summer but I’m all for whipping it out and slaying it in any weather!
Have you tried the Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks yet?
