Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick Swatches

Okay, I love nudes and neutral shadows as much as the next girl but I couldn’t be happier to see Urban Decay moving the heck away from the Naked line for a second. Can I get an amen?! I know I can’t speak for everyone but I’m pretty sure most of you (like me) have grown tired of Urban Decay shoving Naked down our throats. It’s only so much nude a girl can take! Of course, you need your natural everyday foundation, powder, concealer and eyeshadow for simple looks. But you also need some color, girl!

That’s why I was in the stands going wild last summer when Urban Decay unleashed 100 fun shades of Vice Lipsticks that includes pretty much every color under the sun. You want black? You got it! You want blue? You got it! Urban Decay really pushed the envelope with their initial Vice Lipstick Launch and now they’re back for seconds with the new Vice Liquid Lipsticks now available at Sephora and Ulta.

Urban Decay came out the gate strong with the original Vice Lipstick launch but the Vice Liquid Lipstick launch is a little less overwhelming. Picking a new lipstick will always be a bit tricky but Urban Decay made it a little easier this time around only releasing 20 shades with 2 finishes including:

  • Comfort Matte ultra matte finish
  • Metallized metallic matte finish

You know I love a good mix of nudes and bolds to fit whatever mood I’m in so I snapped up the shades:

  • 1993 warm mauve brown (Comfort Matte)
  • Conspiracy chocolate brown with golden shimmer (Metallized)
  • Backtalk soft mauve pink (Comfort Matte)
  • Studded warm taupe with golden shimmer (Metallized)
  • WSM vibrant magenta (Comfort Zone)
  • Mad bright violet with purple and silver shimmer (Metallized)

I’ve tried a few of them so far and I’m kinda digging them. The Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipsticks have a slightly thick whipped mousse-like texture that’s creamy and still quite lightweight despite the texture. Upon application, the Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipsticks glide on nice and smoothly. After a minute or so, they begin to dry down to a budge-proof matte finish that lasts for around 7 hours for me. I did find the Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipsticks to be a little drying after a while but I find that prepping with a good, rich lip balm beforehand really helps. If you love Urban Decay, I think you’ll probably love their new Vice Liquid Lipsticks too!

Have you tried the Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipsticks yet?
