Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

Too Faced is back for redemption, baby! Lately, Too Faced has been getting slammed for the quality of their new products. Namely their eyeshadow palettes. Too Faced used to be a heavy hitter in the makeup game. Releasing cult-favorite classics like the original Chocolate Bar Palette and Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette. Things started to get a little shaky after the initial Sweet Peach Palette launch. People begged for months on end for Too Faced to restock the Sweet Peach Palette. Yet the quality wasn’t quite the same when Sweet Peach made its return. Soon, we started to see more palettes drop from Too Faced that were disappointing. Too Faced’s shadows had really started to lose their luster.

And then there was Chocolate Gold…

Too Faced seemingly hit a rough patch with their eyeshadow palettes for a while. Leaving many makeup junkies upset with sheer, chalky shadows that just wouldn’t blend. And then there was Chocolate Gold! Too Faced headed back to the lab and got back to their roots to create the stunning new Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette. A new metallic eyeshadow palette that’s perfect for the holidays!

Jewels and Gold, baby!

The Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette is the newest addition to the Chocolate Bar Palette family. And perhaps the most delectable. I’ve only used this palette a few times and it’s already my favorite of the collection. Chocolate Gold is absolutely stunning!

Chocolate Gold sticks to the Chocolate Bar family roots with a yummy cocoa-based formula and gorgeous chocolate-bar inspired packaging. Except this one’s dipped in gold for a luxury look and feel that’s too beautiful to resist. And so perfect for the theme!

This baby isn’t all about chocolate and gold! It also features a few pretty jewel tones, too. Though I do wish there were a bit more for variety. The Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette includes:

  • Money Bags shimmery green
  • Chocolate Gold metallic yellow gold
  • Rich Girl metallic silver-taupe
  • Cocoa Truffle warm soft matte brown
  • Decadent intense matte black
  • Love & Cocoa metallic chocolate bronze
  • Old Money metallic copper bronze
  • New Money shimmery magenta pink with purple shimmer
  • Famous metallic golden bronze
  • Classy & Sassy metallic rose gold
  • So Boujee cool matte tan
  • Holla For A Dolla shimmery forest green
  • Gold Dipped metallic golden taupe
  • Livin’ Lavish shimmery eggplant purple
  • Drippin’ Diamonds metallic silver-diamond
  • Rollin’ In Dough white-cream matte

The Best Yet!

I don’t normally reach for metallic palettes but Too Faced knocked this one out of the park! The new Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette is buttery smooth and pigmented just like it’s chocolate coated sisters. I used mine for Christmas yesterday and was blown away how well the shadows applied. And the fact that you can still create a complete look out of this palette. Even my dark skin divas!

I love that Too Faced included Cocoa Truffle and Decadent to help deepen and define your crease so those gorgeous metallics really pop. It’s also a pleasure to see Too Faced getting back to their old shadow formula too. Chocolate Gold was incredibly easy to use! I didn’t have to pile on my crease color or worry about it disappearing as I blended. Surprisingly, I didn’t notice much fallout at all with the Chocolate Gold Palette. Leaving me to believe that this just might be the best palette Too Faced has released this year!
