Too Faced Life's A Festival Collection Swatces on Dark Skin Brown Skin

Life’s A Festival with this New Too Faced Collection!

Tired of unicorn makeup? Well, that’s just too damn bad! Because Too Faced whipped up an entire unicorn-themed limited edition collection for spring that’s too much fun to deny. A few years back, Too Faced dropped the mystical Unicorn Tears transforming blue-lavender lipstick that had us all going crazy. Then Too Faced completely dropped the unicorn ball. Leaving Tarte to pick up where they left off with the Make Believe in Yourself Collection. But it looks like Too Faced is back to take their unicorn crown (or horn) once and for all with the new Life’s A Festival Collection featuring eyeshadow, gloss and more to help you channel your inner unicorn.

Too Faced Life's A Festival Collection Eyeshadow Palette Swatches on Dark Skin Brown Skin

Life’s A Festival Eyeshadow Palette ($42.00)

Too Faced palettes are really hit or miss. Sometimes they’re fantastic. Other times, they could use some work. I expected the new Life’s A Festival Eyeshadow Palette to be a dud. Surprisingly, it’s quite good! The Life’s A Festival Eyeshadow Palette features 12 creamy shadows and a shimmering Unicorn Tears highlighter for your face. The Life’s A Festival Palette is bold, fun and colorful consisting of 2 mattes, a few duochromes and a handful of gorgeous shimmers all housed in a cute rainbow decked out with a glittery unicorn. So extra. So cute!

I figured the Life’s A Festival Eyeshadow Palette would have been all cute and no substance. But I was wrong. The shadows are nicely pigmented with a soft, smooth texture that blends well and wears nicely too. It’s so refreshing to see Too Faced producing good palettes again!

Too Faced Life's A Festival Collection Rainbow Strobe Prismatic Highlighter Swatches on Dark Skin Brown Skin

Rainbow Strobe Prismatic Highlighter ($30.00)

We’ve seen a million rainbow highlighters within the last year. The unicorn trend got so big that we even stared to see rainbow highlighters in Forever 21! So it’s no surprise that people are beyond tired of rainbow highlighters at this point. I get it. A rainbow highlighter isn’t exactly practical or wearable, honestly. Unless it’s the new Too Faced Rainbow Strobe Prismatic Highlighter. Then it’s something totally different!

The Too Faced Rainbow Strobe Prismatic Highlighter is the most wearable rainbow highlighter out there. You won’t be walking around with metallic color streaks on your cheeks. Nah! The Rainbow Strobe Prismatic Highlighter fuses together to create a soft warm golden glow that’s suitable for all skin tones. You’ll probably want to skip this if you’re looking for a shockingly bold colored highlighter. The Rainbow Strobe Prismatic Highlighter is best suited for unicorn divas who want to sparkle in the sun. As it does contain some fairly noticeable glitter. I like to think of the Rainbow Strobe Prismatic Highlighter as a softer, more wearable version of Fenty Beauty Trophy Wife Killawatt Highlighter.

Too Faced Life's A Festival Collection Unicorn Tears Bronzer Swatches on Dark Skin Brown Skin

Unicorn Tears Bronzer ($30.00)

It’s rare for Too Faced to make face products that work for darker skin. That’s why I jumped for joy when I saw the Unicorn Tears Bronzer. Unicorn Tears is a sparkling deep bronze with a glimmering periwinkle blue unicorn imprinted in the center. You can swirl and combine them together for a soft shimmering Bronze. Or use them separately to sculpt your cheeks.

I like to swirl them together sometimes. But I’m honestly just here for the actual bronze part. On its own, it works perfectly as a bronzer for chocolate cuties! Unicorn Tears adds a bit of warmth and a soft sheen making chocolate cheeks look naturally sun-kissed. I love it! I really wish Too Faced would come out with a permanent version without the unicorn!

Too Faced Life's A Festival Collection Unicorn Horn Highlighting Stick in Unicorn Dreams Swatches on Dark Skin Brown Skin

Unicorn Horn Highlighting Stick ($28.00)

Too Faced owner Jerrod Blandino is known for posting sneak peeks on his Instagram. But I was shook when I stumbled upon swatches of the Unicorn Horn Highlighting Stick in Unicorn Dreams. This is one stunning highlighter! For starters, it’s molded into the shape of a unicorn horn which is adorable. Plus, it even smells like candy!

The glow and formula is what I truly love about the Unicorn Dreams Highlighting Stick though. It’s a glistening rose gold with a strong gilded gold duochrome finish that’s beautiful on deeper skin tones. You can use it on your eyes, lips, face and body to sparkle like a golden unicorn. I love using it under my foundation for a radiance boost on the highpoints of my face. Unicorn Dreams blends easily and gives a more subtle less glittery glow than Rainbow Strobe. Making it a much more suitable option for everyday wear.

Too Faced Life's A Festival Collection Fairy Tears, Angel Tears Magic Crystal Transforming Lip Gloss Swaatces on Dark Skin Brown Skin

Magic Crystal Transforming Lip Topper ($19.00)

No collection is complete without lips! Too Faced added a magical range of lipsticks and glosses to the Life’s A Festival Collection, too. Lipsticks are my weakness but I managed to avoid them this time around and opted for a couple glosses instead. Not just any ordinary gloss though. These are Magic Crystal Transforming Lip Toppers. And yes they really work!

I grabbed 2 shades including Angel Tears and Fairy Tears. Angel Tears appears to be a mostly transparent gloss with hints of gold and pink shimmer. On the lips, Angel Tears transforms into a full on soft pinky nude gloss that looks beautiful on its own and paired over lipstick. Angel Tears is definitely the most versatile of the bunch thanks to its mostly sheer base.

Fairy Tears is a bit more magical though. She has a strong pink-gold duochrome finish that makes more of a statement than Angel Tears. I love how Fairy Tears look over pink and coral lipsticks!

Too Faced Life's A Festival Collection Magic Rainbow Strobing Brush

Magic Rainbow Strobing Highlighter Brush ($34.00)

I’m a sucker for anything cute so I grabbed the Magic Rainbow Strobing Highlighter Brush, too. Too Faced hyped it up as the perfect brush to apply the Rainbow Strobe Prismatic Highlighter. It’s not. The Magic Rainbow Strobing Highlighter Brush is too dense for highlighting. As a result, it picks up more glitter than pigment. Which is no fun because I just ended up with glitter in random places I didn’t want it.

Instead, the Magic Rainbow Strobing Highlighter Brush is better suited for contouring. The flat shape and density makes it great for blending out your favorite contour. Including cream, powder and liquid because it’s made with cruelty free Teddy Bear hair.

Too Faced Life's A Festival Festival Refresg Mystical Effects Setting and Refreshing Spray

Festival Refresh Spray ($24.00)

Had to save the best for last! Too Faced has been hitting the setting spray game hard lately and I’m here for it. We’ve got Hangover for dry skin, Peach for oily skin and now Festival Refresh for your unicorn needs. The Festival Refresh Spray can be used before and after makeup to give you a killer unicorn glow, of course.

Festival Refresh Spray is formulated with opalescent pearls and rose quartz to soothe and refresh skin, too. Making it a wonderful spray for warm weather! I’ve been using Festival Refresh Spray nonstop and I couldn’t love it more! It makes my skin look so smooth and radiant. Plus it smells like sweet tarts!

Is the Too Faced Life’s A Festival Collection Worth It?

I honestly think so! Say what you want about the packaging. The products are actually great quality! Too Faced was definitely late with this collection but I’m not mad at them for taking their time and doing it right. This collection isn’t just cute (or cheap) packaging. I’ve managed to quite a few products into my daily routine. I think the Too Faced Life’s A Festival Collection is well worth a try! Head to your local Ulta or Sephora to check it out!
