The star of the collection is the eyeshadow palette. Designed for everyday wear with a funky beach twist. She’s been hanging out at Ulta Beauty for a while now for $35.
Pricey but Unique
The Dose of Colors x ILuvSaraHii Palette is a bit expensive at $35 for just 6 shadows. Especially considering you can get more than double the amount of shadows from a reputable brand (like Anastasia Beverly Hills) for $10 more. I was shocked to see such a small palette priced so high. But the color scheme is rather unique. You can easily go from day to night. Which is super convenient for such a small palette.
Everyday Colors with a Twist
We get flooded with neutral palettes nonstop. So it’s nice to see the I Luv Sarahii Palette bring something different to the table. The palette features:
- Poquito Mas pearly base with iridescent pastel pink/peach hues
- Sunglow antique gold with metallic foil finish
- Wanderlust matte burnt orange brown
- Loungy matte peach pink
- Palma teal base with aqua turquoise reflects
- Finders Keepers matte jet black with multicolor ultra fine glitter
I love that Karen included Wanderlust as it’s a great crease shade for brown skin. Making the Dose of Colors x ILuvSaraHii Palette a pretty solid option for women of color. Wanderlust pairs rather nicely with the rest of the shades. So you can actually create complete looks using it.
Quality & Wear
The I Luv Sarahii Palette is a little expensive for the quality. It’s not a bad palette. But it’s not something you need to rush out and buy immediately. Some shades are more sheer and required a bit of building. Like Poquito Mas and Loungy. There’s also a considerable amount of fall out. Especially with the shimmery shades. I used Palma all over the lids for this look. And it ended up all over my face too. Fall out isn’t much of a deal breaker for me. But I do recommend doing your eyes before your foundation and concealer when using this palette.
Minus all the fall out, the I Luv Sarahii Palette is pretty solid. Majority of the palette has great pigmentation and the shadows all adhere and blend well. Lasting for around 7-8 hours with some minor fading.
Is the Dose of Colors x ILuvSaraHii Palette Worth It?
Yes. It’s actually a pretty solid palette that works well on chocolate cuties. I just recommend catching it on sale. Or using a coupon. That way you get more bang for your buck here! You can snag the Dose Of Colors x ILuvSarahii Palette from Dose of Colors and Ulta Beauty for $35.
