Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette Swatches

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette

Nothing warms a makeup junkie’s heart more than seeing limited edition palettes go on sale. It’s just magical! Last week, Ulta decided to close out 21 Days of Beauty with a bang by adding the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette as a Hot Buy for half off. For just $22.50, many of us were able to get our hands on Gwen Stefani’s personalized limited edition blush palette online and in stores at Ulta. Of course, it sold like hot cakes so everyone wasn’t able to catch such a great deal before it disappered. However, Sephora has decided to join in on the fun by marking down the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette to just $30. Yay!

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette Review

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette

We saw an influx of liquid lipsticks and contour releases last year but what I’m just now realizing is that it was also the year of eyeshadow palettes. It took me a little while to notice it but after counting the number of eyeshadow palettes I picked up last year (9 or more) it was clear to see that eyeshadow palette releases were pretty much back to back in 2015. Every time I turned around, there was a palette releasing that I needed as much as I need a hole in my head. It was complete madness!

However, there was one limited edition palette that I just knew I didn’t want: the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette. When Urban Decay first announced that they were collaborating with Gwen Stefani for a collection I was bouncing off the wall with excitement. Gwen Stefani is known for her fun fashion and bold, bright colors so I was expecting something funky spectacular since Urban Decay is pretty well known for taking a walk on the edgy side too. Imagine my disappointment when the sneak peeks of the Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette hit Instagram and it turned out to be an extension of the Naked line. Womp womp!

Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Collection for Spring 2016

Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Collection for Spring 2016

We developed everything in the limited-edition UD | Gwen Stefani collection in close collaboration with Gwen. Wendy and our product development team spent countless hours at Gwen’s house, talking makeup and working with her on every detail of the collection.

Gwen even directed the packaging design, which was inspired by her love of black and white graphic prints and antique gold accents. We created everything with Gwen, filling a void by developing all of the perfect shades she always wished she had in her collection. And with these products in your arsenal, you’ll have all the essentials to recreate her signature looks for yourself.

Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Collection

Now this is going to be interesting. Urban Decay and Gwen Stefani? There’s No Doubt that we’re in store for something good this holiday season! Urban Decay announced on Instagram that they’re finally teaming up with the pop icon to create a limited edition collection set to launch on November 22. Urban Decay is still keeping the colors and products under wraps but I’m expecting a fierce red lipstick and a wicked eyeshadow palette. Fingers crossed they do Gwen justice!

Urban Decay x Jean-Michael Basquiat Collection Swatches

Urban Decay x Jean-Michael Basquiat Collection Swatches on Dark Skin

Happy Sunday, makeup lovers! Before I jump right in to some Skincare Sunday goodies, I just have to show you the amazing new, limited edition Urban Decay x Jean-Michael Basquiat Makeup As Art Collection. It’s been a long time since I’ve been excited about an Urban Decay collection. The last Urban Decay collection to catch my eye was the Gwen Stefani Collection. Let’s face it. It was pretty and the packaging was cute but it was ultimately a fail for us dark skin divas.

The Jean-Michael Basquiat Collection is something totally different! The Makeup As Art Collection is bold. It’s vibrant. It’s gritty. It’s surreal. It’s edgy. Basically, the Jean-Michael Basquiat Makeup As Art Collection is everything we’ve grown to know and love about Urban Decay before the incessant Naked craze. Don’t get me wrong. I love a good neutral palette and nude lip as much as any makeup junkie. But every now and then, you’ve got to switch things up and add some color, girl!

Urban Decay Matte Bittersweet Matte Revolution Lipstick Review

Urban Decay Matte Bittersweet Matte Revolution Lipstick

Urban Decay is typically known for their buttery, pigmented eyeshadows but they really excel at lipsticks too! It seems that Urban Decay’s Revolution Lipsticks are a bit underrated in the makeup world. Though I’m not too sure why because both the original and matte formulas are bomb and I’ve loved every shade I’ve tried so far. Including one of the newest shades in my collection, Matte Bittersweet.
