Best of the Golden Globes 2013
The best part about watching award shows is getting to check out all the hauteness on the red carpet! I’m a sucker for high fashion and gorgeous gowns so the Golden Globe Awards this year left me feeling like a little girl in a candy store. There were soo many beautiful looks that I wanted to blog about but I narrowed it down to my absolute faves. Of course, there has to be an absolute favorite look of the night and Jessica Alba was draped all in it! Doesn’t she look absolutely fabulous?! She totally wowed me with this peach strapless Oscar de la Renta gown. Her figure looks amazing and I love the soft, loose wave hair and coral lipstick. I also love that she paired this stunning dress with a diamond studded Harry Winston necklace and a furry Roger Vivier clutch. Very elegant, Jessica!
Lea Michele was another knockout this year in this breathtaking floor length off white halter Elie Saab gown. I’m so happy she went with a loose romantic hairstyle and minimal jewelry because this dress needs no help making a statement! The thigh high slit is incredibly sexy and the crystal floral embroidery adds such an air of elegance. This Glee actress definitely has something to sing about!
Jennifer Garner looks so amazing in this shiny deep red strapless Vivienne Westwood gown. She’s definitely giving us a reminder of why Ben Affleck snatched her up in the first place. Her body looks great and she is giving me life with her classy updo and bare neckline! Between the print and texture of the dress she certainly didn’t need much accessorizing and I couldn’t be happier with the way she pulled it off.
The first word that comes to mind to describe Amanda Seyfried’s look is romantic. She looks like she walked right out of a storybook in this sleveless cream lace gown by Givenchy. This floor grazing number works so well with her romantic soft waves and light makeup. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her look more beautiful!
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days made me fall in love with Kate Hudson years ago and now this dress is making me fall all over again! she looks absolutely stunning in this black and gold Alexander McQueen dress. I don’t know what I love more about this look. That jaw dropping plunging neckline or the beautiful gold beaded detailing around the neck and waist. Kate was definitely a close runner up for fave look of the night!
Ok. When doesn’t Jennifer Lopez look insanely hot?? This Zuhauir Murad dress is absolutely gorgeous! J.Lo looks like a goddess in this nude and cream embroidered gown, side swept waves and sultry makeup. I love how she left off the jewelry and opted for a sexy smokey eye to add a bit more oomph. Not that she really needed it. She’s a total vixen in whatever she wears!
Doesn’t Taylor Swift look all sexy and grown up? I’m just loving this look on her! This eggplant Donna Karan gown may come off a little mature but the fit and cut works so well with her shape. Plus I love that she’s breaking out of that little girl mold. The elegant side bun and nude lips make her look like such a lady. And have you seen that gorgeous train?? Love it!
Katherine McPhee was another close contender for my fave look of the night. I mean wow! She definitely brought the sexy to the Golden Globes this year! I can’t get enough of her in this Theyskens’ Theory black slit dress. The plunging neckline and thigh high slit may be a little much for some but I think she’s showing just the right amount of skin without being overly sexy. She added a touch of class to this look by skipping heavy jewelry, rocking a nice updo and sporting a barely there makeup look. She nailed it!
To be fairly honest, Megan Fox could show up on the red carpet naked and she would still end up on my best dressed list LOL. She’s stunning in whatever she wears! Especially this cream strapless Dolce and Gabbana gown. She’s so edgy but I love to see her in soft, feminine looks like this! She usually screams sex symbol but I think this look makes her a modern day pinup. Absolutely love it!
Last but certainly not least is the beautiful Isla Fisher. She’s glowing in this sheer nude elegant beaded gown by Reem Acra! The only thing I’m loving more than this lovely dress is her makeup. It’s so simple yet soo sexy. I can’t get enough of that deep berry pout she’s wearing! Her side swept hair makes her look even more dreamy. She looks like a pretty porcelain doll!
