Time to Get Vampy!

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Mahogany, Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer in Deep, Anastasia Beverly Hills Potion Liquid Lipstick, Tarte Color Wheel Amazonian Clay Blush Palette

The second I start to feel a little chill in the air I’m instantly ready to break out the boots and vampy lips. In the blink of an eye, I’ll go from glossy, bold lips and sandals to Uggs and a super deep vampy lip. That’s right. This girl doesn’t do grey areas! When fall first hit, I was really feeling the fall vibe with some warm neutrals. Once the temperature started to drop a little I decided to slip into something a little more vampy like a plummy smokey eye and a blackened plum lipstick.

Too Faced Mascara Melt Off Cleansing Oil Review

Too Faced Mascara Melt Off Cleansing Oil Review

Is it just me or is it extremely hard to pack makeup and skincare? Most times when I pack for vacation, I bring an abundance of makeup and skincare products to cover my bases. No matter how much stuff I bring I always seem to leave something behind. Or forget about something completely. When I wash my face at home, I like to double cleanse with a cleansing oil and then a regular ol’ foaming cleanser afterwards to completely remove all of my makeup. Somehow, I almost always forget about double cleansing when I pack because I never remember to pack a travel cleansing oil. Ever.

Is the BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Palette All Hype?

BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette

We’ve heard it all before. “You get what you pay for.” When it comes to things like traveling, electronics and clothes this saying usually holds true. However, the saying isn’t always true when it comes to makeup. Sometimes, you get a little more than you pay for. Or a little less. It all depends. After months and months of many people singing the praises for the BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Eyeshadow and Highlighter Palette I was beginning to wonder was it really all that great. Or just great for the price. I mean, you get 10 eyeshadows and 4 highlighters for under $15. Pretty much anyone could live with that right?

Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario Coming this Fall!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario Sneak Peek

There has been a lot of makeup collaborations this year but I’m feeling it. Sometimes it can get a little annoying to see a celebrity endorsing a brand or collection. But other times, it’s a breath of fresh air because I don’t always know who these people are. Between Tarte and MAC, I’ve been introduced to so many new designers, makeup artists and YouTubers that I probably never would have come across otherwise. Now it’s Anastasia’s turn to introduce me to someone new with her upcoming eyeshadow palette for fall.

Tint Your Eyes with Armani This Fall!

Giorgio Armani 12 Gold Ashes, 24 Nude Smoke, 21 Fur Smoke Eye Tint, Eccentrico Instant High Volume & Definiton Mascara

The eyes are the window to the soul. Whether they’re smokey, natural or winged, your eyes say a lot about you before you even speak. Most days, I like to bust out a quick wing to add a little flair and quick glimpse into my glittering soul. Sometimes, though, I love to go all out with eyeshadow to boost my creativity and express my style. I usually just pick up the eyeshadow palette pick of the day and get to blending but Influenster has given me a new way to play up my eyes–with liquid.

Liquid eyeshadows aren’t new to the makeup world but they haven’t become a huge hit just yet. It seems that this will change very soon as we’re starting to see more liquid eyeshadow formulas from brands like Maybelline and now Giorgio Armani. The Giorgio Armani Eye Tints are a new collection of liquid eyeshadows in neutral shades ranging from beige to green in shimmer and matte finishes. Armani describes the formula as a long lasting tint with the smoothness of a cream that yields intense, vibrant eye looks. The Eye Tints have a very thin, lightweight formula that’s creamy but not too emollient so it doesn’t slide around much at all. Instead, it seems to offer a precise application that’s easy to blend with a pat of a finger or a synthetic brush.

Bobbi Brown Black Ink Long Wear Gel Eyeliner Review

Bobbi Brown Black Ink Long Wear Gel Eyeliner

Liquid eyeliner is a must have for those early mornings when I just need a quick, intense liner to blend in my falsies and go. That’s it though. I just can’t get with using liquid liner to create my signature cat eye. After years of practice, I can make it happen but it takes a lot more effort and time. Liquid liner is just too messy, too hard to control and sometimes too streaky to give me that sharp, steady wing that fiercely slices through. Every time I try to do a wing with liquid liner, it ends up all over my lids and in the inner corner of my eyes as my hand lightly shakes with anticipation. So much stress!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette Review

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette

Eyeshadow palettes are insanely addictive. Especially nude ones. They’re almost like pieces of chocolate. You’ll pop open a big box and say that you’ll only have a couple. Then a few more after those couple pieces because they’re just so good. Next thing you know, you’re passed out with a face full of chocolate and full tummy. This is exactly what happens with me and nude eyeshadow palettes. LOL! I don’t eat them, of course, but they’re so damn delicious to look at and easy to use that it’s impossible for me to just have a couple when there’s so many good ones out there. I just have to sample them all to feed my appetite, girl!

There’s a million reasons to appreciate Ulta but what I love the most about shopping there is that I can grab literally everything I want all in one store. If I need a nail polish, shower cap, deodorant and a yet another eyeshadow palette I have faith that I can grab it all at Ulta. You can’t beat that convenience with a stick! Sometimes I wish Ulta carried more Prestige brands but I still appreciate the fact that Ulta embraces the beauty (and budget friendly prices) of drugstore brands too. Too Faced Black Sketch Marker Liquid Art Eyeliner Review

Too Faced Black Sketch Marker Liquid Art Eyeliner

Mastering liquid eyeliner is truly an art form. One wrong move and you can ruin that gorgeous smokey eye you’ve worked tirelessly on blending until your arms hurt. Or you could completely trash that wicked wing you’ve been dying to perfect. Liquid liner is a beast and it can smell fear. That’s why I prefer felt tip eyeliner pens like the new Too Faced Sketch Marker Liquid Art Eyeliners. They’re exactly my thing: super intense, sleek packaging and a precise tip.
