Why choose to be naughty or nice when you can be both? Too Faced and Kat Von D have teamed up to help us get naughty and nice this holiday with their new upcoming collaboration. A while back, Too Faced owner, Jerrod Blandino, and Kat Von D let it slip on Instagram that they’d be collaborating for a special project. Well more sneak peeks have finally rolled out and it looks like Too Faced and Kat Von D are creating an entire limited edition collection that’s both edgy and cute.
Just when you thought Too Faced couldn’t get any cuter Jerrod Blandino pulls a fast one on us and releases an adorable eyeshadow palette that’s Totally Cute as the name implies. First off, it’s completely pink with purple accents. Then, there’s 2 sheets of fun stickers to customize your palette to make it Totally Cute and totally yours. I died, came back to live and then died again when I got a chance to check out the Totally Cute Eyeshadow Palette in person. It’s the most girly eyeshadow palette around and I’m so here for it!

If I had a dollar for every palette that I swore I didn’t want or need I’d have enough money to buy the next new palette. Probably 3 times over. LOL! I’m quick to try (keyword here) to resist the next new, hot eyeshadow palette but sometimes it just happens. This was definitely the case with the new limited edition Tarte x Grav3Yard Girl Swamp Queen Palette. When it first launched online, my initial reaction was, “Who the heck is Grav3Yard Girl??” I soon learned that she’s a wonderful YouTube vlogger with a lot of personality and now a smokin’ hot palette to share with her Swamp Family and the rest of us makeup junkies.
The way ColourPop has blown up over the last 2 years it’s easy to believe that their products are all just hype. Let me assure you, though. They are not! Pretty much everything ColourPop comes up with turns to gold because their formulas are absolutely amazing and crazy affordable the quality. Before I got sucked into the ColourPop cult, I used to think that it was just another Instagram trend/phase that would come and go but there’s plenty of reasons why ColourPop will stick around for many more years to come. I’m a huge fan of their lippies but now I’m starting to see the magic that is in their Super Shock Shadows too. I don’t typically do cream shadows because they’re not too convenient and they often crease terribly. Not the Super Shock Shadows though! These babies are everything and more you need out of an eyeshadow–for just $5 a pop.
This has definitely been the year of celebrity and blogger collabs with pretty much every brand you can think of hopping on board. ELF is typically known for their amazingly affordable yet still good quality beauty products that are available worldwide and now they’ve teamed up with some talented beauty vloggers to give us a limited edition collection that’s to die for. One of my favorite YouTubers, the gorgeous Jackie Aina, joined forces with the mega budget beauty brand to create her own hand-picked eyeshadow palette. Each shade was carefully chosen by Jackie Aina to help you shade, sculpt and define your eyes just like she does with her signature colors.
ColourPop has to be the most addicting makeup brand ever. When ColourPop first hit the scene, I just couldn’t understand the huge fascination with them. Then I placed an order and it all clicked. From the shadows to the lipsticks, ColourPop makes some of the most amazing products I’ve ever tried. And they’re all under $10! So, by makeup junkie logic, I’d be doing myself a disservice to not try their new or limited edition products after having such a great run with them. Right? Don’t answer that.
Instagram is a dangerous place to be when you’re trying not to buy makeup! After buying what feels like 50-11 eyeshadow palettes over the past 6 months I was hell bent on not buying another one until next year at least. A girl’s gotta have some boundaries! At least when it comes to eyeshadow. I plead the fifth when it comes to lipsticks and highlighters. But anyway! When the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette dropped¸it was praised all over as the eyeshadow palette everyone needs. It couldn’t scroll Instagram (or Facebook) for more than 2 minutes before seeing someone raving about how magical the Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette is. Which I understood. Anastasia Beverly Hills did a bang up job with the color scheme.
I’m always singing the praises of ColourPop’s lipsticks but I have to show their Super Shock Shadows a little love too! I have a nice stash of Super Shock Shadows in my collection but sometimes I forgot about them because I’m always reaching for palettes. Which isn’t right at all because (*Kanye West voice*) ColourPop makes some of the best eyeshadows in the world. And they deserve all the love! For the last couple of weeks, I’ve been making it my duty to show my ColourPop Super Shock Shadows a little more love and each time I open one of those cute little jars I’m reminded just how magical they really are.
