Makeup Revolution is BOGO Half Off at Ulta!

Makeup Revolution BOGO Half Off at Ulta

The only thing better than good quality drugstore makeup is good quality drugstore makeup that’s on sale. Don’t you agree?? London based Makeup Revolution has been gaining a lot of popularity here in the states that has recently landed them a spot in Ulta. I’ve been eyeing Makeup Revolution for a little while now after reading many good reviews and seeing tons of makeup porn and swatches on Instagram. So I jumped on the opportunity to try out a few products while Makeup Revolution is now buy one get one half off at Ulta. Everything is under $10 which is already super affordable but couple that with the fact that you can grab another product for half off and use Ulta’s $3.50 off coupon and you’ve got yourself a damn good deal!

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink!

Bobbi Brown Desert Pink Blush + Sunset Pink Shimmer Brick

Ready for some pink? Of course you are you girly girl you! I don’t know about you but I could wear pink all the time. Pink makeup makes me feel so feminine and flirty. Or bold and fun. Whatever I’m in the mood for. Pink is an incredibly versatile color that anyone can pull off whether it’s on the lips, nails, or cheeks. This week, I decided to celebrate my love for pink with a killer pink cheek combo that’s perfect for spring and summer.

Too Faced Dark Chocolate Soleil Bronzer Review

Too Faced Dark Chocolate Soleil Bronzer

If there’s one thing that’s difficult to find when you have brown skin it’s bronzer. Usually bronzers are too light or too shimmery resulting in more of a highlighter than a straight up bronzer that’s actually going to add the warmth and subtle definition bronzers are meant to give. Of all of the bronzers I’ve tried over the years I’ve only come across 2 that actually function as a bronzer for me: Bobbi Brown’s Deep Bronzing Powder and now Too Faced’s Dark Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. I already had a feeling that Bobbi Brown would be the one to pull off a great bronzer for dark skin divas but I was pleasantly surprised to see Too Faced pull it off too.

Wet n Wild Crown of My Canopy MegaGlo Highlighting Powder Review

Wet n Wild Crown of My Canopy MegaGlo Highlighting Powder

If you know me, you know I live to glow all year round but I’m especially amped about achieving that golden goddess glow when spring and summer rolls around. I’ve been picking up quite a few high end highlighters lately including one of the Anastasia Beverly Hills famous Glow Kits but that still didn’t stop me from rushing to Walgreens to check out Wet n Wild’s new limited edition highlighters from their summer collection. The limited edition MegaGlo Highlighting Powders are so enchanting and crazy affordable ($5) that there’s no way a highlight junkie like myself could pass them up. A girl can never have too many highlighters, right?

Wet n Wild Summer 2016 Collection Haul & Swatches

Wet n Wild Summer 2016 Collection

I usually have a love/hate relationship when it comes to limited edition drugstore collections because they’re often very enticing but oh so hard to find. However, it’s all love this time around when it comes to the new limited edition Wet n Wild Summer 2016 Collection. This collection turned out to be beautiful and easy to find. Win, win! I spotted a display at the first Walgreens I went to and immediately snatched up both of the highlighting powders and one of the liquid lipsticks. Part of me is dying to go back and grab more because the liquid lipsticks and cream highlighter sticks are still calling my name. The entire display was just so pretty!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Gleam Glow Kit Review

Anastasia Beverly Hills Gleam Glow Kit

There’s been a lot of big, new things happening at in the Prestige department at Ulta. One of the most exciting, hands down, was the recent expansion of Anastasia Beverly Hills to include her entire professional line of cosmetics online and in stores. Cue the hallelujah chorus! Anastasia Beverly Hills has made a name for herself in the makeup industry as a celebrity brow expert but she recently expanded her empire to include contour kits, concealer, lipsticks and more. All of which were a Macy’s exclusive for the past year. I love Macy’s (especially the shoe department) as much as the next girl but I was not pleased with the bulk of Anastasia Beverly Hills products being exclusive there because there’s only one Macy’s with an Impulse cosmetics section near me and it’s almost an hour away. I’m all for making a trip for good makeup but there was no way I was willing to make a road trip just to swatch and check out the rest of her products. Sorry, Anastasia. We’re not that cool.

ColourPop x Karrueche Glo Up Super Shock Cheek Review

ColourPop x Karrueche Glo Up Super Shock Cheek

When ColourPop announced that they were collaborating with model Karrueche Tran for a limited edition collection I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. She’s mostly famous for being Chris Brown’s girlfriend. Not for her style or makeup choices. So it just seemed off and gimmicky that she would be coming out with her own makeup collection. Then the collection dropped and I started seeing pictures and swatches everywhere and my mind was blown. Her ColourPop collection turned out to be bomb! There’s Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks, Lippie Pencils, shadows and more that were all so beautiful that I couldn’t help but to order a few things. Including the gorgeous Glo Up Super Shock Cheek highlighter.

Tarte Double Duty Beauty 101 Discovery Kit

Tarte Double Duty Beauty 101 Discovery Kit

Tarte has really been growing on me since I’ve tried the Tartelette Eyeshadow Palettes and even more so after attending their Double Duty Beauty Collection training for Ulta. Tarte actually has some really great stuff! I’ve always been on the fence to try their products because the color range always seemed better suited for lighter skin tones to me. Especially when it comes to complexion products. I still have to give Tarte the side eye on that because they’re not moving quite fast enough for me when it comes to expanding the line to include darker shades. However, I’ll cut Tarte the slimmest amount of slack because the rest of their color products are rather nice and pretty affordable for a higher end brand.

Too Faced Warm Glow Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo Review

Too Faced Candlelight Glow in Warm Glow

Never tried Too Faced? Well now is the time to do so! Too Faced has been creating pure magic with their recent spring and summer releases that are just too good to pass up. Too Faced isn’t just about cute, girly packaging. Nope! Too Faced knows the quality is what really counts and I can honestly say everything I’ve tried from Too Faced so far has been pure quality. The Born This Way Foundation has become my new go to and now I’m head over heels for the new Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo in Warm Glow. It’s definitely been lighting my fuse!

The new Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo is a spin-off from Too Faced’s bestselling highlighter, Candlelight. This time around it comes with two shades in one and comes in two varieties: Rosy Glow, for lighter, cooler complexions, and Warm Glow, for darker, warmer complexions. Because I live to be a glowing golden goddess all the time I opted for Candlelight Warm Glow since I knew it would work beautifully with my brown skin.

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette Swatches

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette

Nothing warms a makeup junkie’s heart more than seeing limited edition palettes go on sale. It’s just magical! Last week, Ulta decided to close out 21 Days of Beauty with a bang by adding the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette as a Hot Buy for half off. For just $22.50, many of us were able to get our hands on Gwen Stefani’s personalized limited edition blush palette online and in stores at Ulta. Of course, it sold like hot cakes so everyone wasn’t able to catch such a great deal before it disappered. However, Sephora has decided to join in on the fun by marking down the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette to just $30. Yay!
