Glowing Glam in Red

Glowing Glam in Red Makeup Look

I’ll probably always be a hardcore lipstick junkie but lately I’ve been super obsessed with highlighters and all things glow. A poppin’ highlight and a soft, dewy complexion is my go to look this summer. I’ve already shown you my summer glow essentials that I love whipping out to make me glow to the moon and back. However, it struck me that it would also be a good idea to share with you how I put it all together too.

Still Obsessing Over the MAC Chris Chang Collection

MAC Chris Chang Collection for Summer 2016

Anyone else still drooling over the MAC Chris Chang Collection? I know I’m not alone here! Initially, I purchased a few products from the collection solely because the packaging is beyond gorgeous and I had a $10 off discount code. Once I finally got my hands on my new Chris Chang goodies I developed such a strong love for the collection. Not just because the packaging is amazing but also because the actual products turned out wonderfully too. I don’t have a bright yellow matte shadow in my collection so I jumped at the chance to bring home Royal Woo Eyeshadow which I knew would be a great lid color for spring and summer. Rich Coral Cream Colour Base can easily be duped in my collection but orange blushes are so easy for me to wear so I went ahead and tossed it in my cart too. It’s a bit sheer but I like that I can easily build up Rich Coral for a soft, natural flush of orange that warms up my complexion and gives me a nice luminous glow too.

The only thing better than buying new makeup is playing in new makeup! Over the holiday season, I hauled a lot of new goodies including a handful of face and eye palettes that I’ve been dying to put to use. My schedule was insane over the holiday season so I didn’t really get a chance to play with all of my new goodies but now that my days are a little less hectic it’s play time!

A Warm Chocolate Look for Fall

Warm Chocolate Look for Fall

Ahh, fall. You gotta love it. The crisp, cool breeze in the air. Yellow, orange and red leaves cover the ground. And all those yummy shades of bronze and brown can be seen everywhere — making me think of chocolate. Like a creamy hot chocolate loaded with those tiny marshmallows and lots of whipped cream. So delicious!

The warm hues of fall and thoughts of hot chocolate makes me feel all fuzzy inside so I decided to whip up a chocolate inspired look for fall using my deliciously sweet Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palettes and a few of my current faves.

Bobbi Brown Telluride Collection Inspired Look

Bobbi Brown Telluride Collection: Sunset Pink Shimmer Brick, Telluride Pot Rouge, Telluride Eye Shadow Palette

Don’t you just love fall collections? There’s warm, cozy shades of gold, pink and bronze everywhere that makes me feel all fuzzy inside of my oversized cardigan. One of my favorite fall collections this year is Bobbi Brown’s Telluride Collection because it’s loaded with warm hues that mimic that beautiful sunset of the Telluride, Colorado skies.

Shades like tawny pink and deep bronze take center stage to help you transition into fall effortlessly. There’s a handful of new and limited edition pieces to drool over in Bobbi’s Telluride Collection but I couldn’t keep my eyes off the Telluride Eye Shadow Palette, Sunset Pink Shimmer Brick and Telluride Pot Rouge for Cheeks & Lips. I loved them so much I that I just had to order them and whip up a warm fall inspired look for you guys.

A Night out with the Disney Villains Collection

Walgreens Disney Villains Collection Inspired Look

You know what my idea of a great weekend is? A chilled bottled of wine, some delicious pasta and an Ancient Aliens marathon. I’m truly a simple creature. But every now and then, someone successfully drags me out of the house for a night out on the town. This past weekend, it was my mom and her friends as she invited my bff and I for a night of karaoke. My wild tequila induced nights are long behind me so I certainly wasn’t drunk enough for an open mic night but I had a ton of fun and got a chance to whip up a look using my new Walgreens Disney Villains Collection goodies.

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink!

Covergirl 425 Bombshell Pink Colorlicious Lipstick and ColourPop Nevermind Lippie Pencil

Ready for some pink fun? Of course you divas are! I know most people like to reserve bright, hot pink lips for spring and summer but I don’t believe in those kinda rules. I’m more of a “no pink lipstick left behind” kinda gal–no matter what season it is. Today, I’m going to bring the rebel out of you too by showing you a really easy trick to bring your bright pinks (or any bright colors) comfortably into fall. All you need is a deep, vampy lip pencil and your favorite pink lipstick.

For this look, I dug up my bright, hot fuchsia pink CoverGirl Bombshell Pink Colorlicious Lipstick and paired it with my deep blackened purple ColourPop Nevermind Lippie Pencil. ‘Cause nothing goes better with pink than purple, right?

Friday Favorites

Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow High Light Powder, Bobbi Brown Pink Lilac Brightening Lip Gloss, NARS Michiyo Audacious Lipstick, Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Blur Primer, Bobbi Brown Pale Pink Blush, NARS Amande Radiant Creamy Concealer, Make Up For Ever Pro Finish Powder 178

TGIF! I couldn’t be any happier that today is Friday! I still have to go to work in the morning but Friday always gives off such great vibes. I was a little tired when I first rolled out of bed but I’ve been in a pretty great mood all day. I think it’s because I started off playing in some really great makeup today and ended up creating a look I loved. It’s hard not to feel good when your makeup is on point, right?

All Glammed Up with MAC Matte Royal Lipstick

Dior Nude Air Serum, NARS Abbey Road Larger than Life, NARS Amande Radiant Creamy Concealer, MAC Colour Matters Technakohl Eyeliner, Becca Blushed Copper Shimmering Skin Perfector, MAC Matte Royal Lipstick, MAC Cyber World Lip Pencil

Most people get excited over nudes and everyday colors but I’m here for the bold, fun colors. Like the MAC Matte Royal Lipstick that was recently released in the Matte Lip Collection. MAC did good making this shade permanent because I would have made like Ludacris and moved many a b#%$^ out the way for it. It’s that serious!

Matte Royal is described as a deep blue but it pulls more a vibrant “blurple” on me. It’s not quite full on blue but it’s not quite full on purple either. It’s a happy, playful mix of the two of that’s surprisingly flattering when you know how to complement it.

Best Dressed at the Billboard Music Awards 2015

bbma - chrissyteigen

Another award show, another fun filled night of fashion! I’m finally starting to come back to life after all the slaying at this year’s Met Gala but it looks like our favorite celebrities have geared up for another round of slay-fests at the Billboard Music Awards last night. Here’s a quick rundown on my favorite looks:

Chrissy Tiegen

The couple that slays together, stays together! Sure, John Legend cleaned up pretty nice last night but his wife, Chrissy Teigen, was the true star of the show in this Balmain gown. She’s serving us pure old Hollywood glamour and I’m scraping my plate over here!
