Juvia's Place Saharan Eyeshadow Palette Swatches on Dark Skin

Summer is all about bright, bold colors! So it’s no surprise that Juvia’s Place is completely dominating this season with their extremely bold, colorful palettes. Juvia’s Place (an amazing BOMB) specializes in making stunning African-themed palettes designed to pop on chocolate cuties. I first fell in love with the brand when I took a chance on the Mini Masquerade Palette and was completely blown away by the quality. Since then, I’ve added a few more Juvia’s Place palettes to my collection. Including the stunning Saharan Eyeshadow Palette. It’s perfect for summer!

4 Foundations for Dry Skin

4 Foundations for Dry Skin: NYX Total Control Drop Foundation, Tarte Empowered Hybrid Gel Foundation, Maybelline Dream Cushion Fresh Face Liquid Foundation on the Go, L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation Review

Finding a good foundation for dry skin can be a bit tricky. You’re leery of matte foundations because they can be drying and make you look casket sharp. Full coverage foundations can be iffy too. They often get cakey and leave you looking like Jim Carey in the Mask. Minus the green, of course!

So which foundations are suitable for dry skin?

Quite a few! There are many foundations that slay at making dry skin look smooth and flawless. Of course, it doesn’t always seem that way when so many brands are catering to the full coverage, matte look. But I’m here to guide you in the right direction with some pretty fantastic foundations that work wonders for dry skin!

Juvia’s Place Saharan Blush Palette Volume I Swatches

Juvia's Place Saharan Blush Palette Volume I Swatches on Dark Skin

Juvia’s Place randomly dropped 2 new blush palettes on us last month and the makeup world spontaneously combusted! Okay, it wasn’t that massive of a launch. But it was still a huge deal because now we get matching blushes, highlighter and bronzer to pair with our favorite Juvia’s Place eyeshadow palettes like Masquerade. When I first saw the announcement, I squealed out loud like a true fan girl because I knew these blush palettes weren’t going to disappoint–and they didn’t.

Urban Decay x Jean-Michael Basquiat Collection Swatches

Urban Decay x Jean-Michael Basquiat Collection Swatches on Dark Skin

Happy Sunday, makeup lovers! Before I jump right in to some Skincare Sunday goodies, I just have to show you the amazing new, limited edition Urban Decay x Jean-Michael Basquiat Makeup As Art Collection. It’s been a long time since I’ve been excited about an Urban Decay collection. The last Urban Decay collection to catch my eye was the Gwen Stefani Collection. Let’s face it. It was pretty and the packaging was cute but it was ultimately a fail for us dark skin divas.

The Jean-Michael Basquiat Collection is something totally different! The Makeup As Art Collection is bold. It’s vibrant. It’s gritty. It’s surreal. It’s edgy. Basically, the Jean-Michael Basquiat Makeup As Art Collection is everything we’ve grown to know and love about Urban Decay before the incessant Naked craze. Don’t get me wrong. I love a good neutral palette and nude lip as much as any makeup junkie. But every now and then, you’ve got to switch things up and add some color, girl!

Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighter Swatches

Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighters Swatches on Dark Skin

Too Faced is all about the cute packaging so it comes as no surprise that their intro to the highlighter game is all glitz and glamour. They may be a little late to the party but Too Faced managed to dazzle us all with their new Love Light Prismatic Highlighters. The Love Light Prismatic Highlighters are everything you’d imagine a Too Faced highlighter to be. Shiny, a little gaudy, maybe a little cheap but still hella cute!

Too Faced Natural Love Eyeshadow Palette Swatches on Dark Skin

Happy hump day beauty lovers! It’s been about 2 weeks since I’ve last checked in with you guys and that’s way too long! In the meantime, I’ve got a lot of catching up to do with swatches and reviews! Starting with lots and lots of lipstick and eyeshadow. 🙈

Last month, Too Faced released the Natural Love Collection for Summer 2017 and it was just as girly, frilly and cheesy as I thought it’d be. And I’m loving it all! Sorry guys! I’m a huge girly girl so I can’t help but be mildly obsessed with Too Faced as they’re the reigning beauty queens of all things girly. Including the new limited edition blockbuster Natural Love Eyeshadow Palette that’s been turning heads lately.

Girls love glitter! Don’t ask me why. We just do. We know it’s annoying. We know it’s craft herpes and never goes away once you get it. But we still love it! Especially after playing with the new limited edition Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette! Be a Unicorn with the Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Collection!

Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Collection Swatches on Dark Skin

Why be basic when you can be a unicorn? The world is going unicorn crazy right now and I’m all for it! Unicorns are magical and majestic. Everything life should be, in my opinion. If I could, I would go around sprinkling glitter and confetti in a unicorn headband, fairy wings and a scepter. Currently, my schedule doesn’t permit such behavior so I’m living out my dreams vicariously through the new limited edition Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Collection. It’s filled with sparkly, glittery unicorn magic that’ll leave you feeling like a glowing mythical creature.
