MAC Vamplify Gloss is Back!

MAC Vamplify Gloss is Back!

Last year, MAC released the Vamplify Collection featuring the most amazing line of lip glosses I’ve ever tried. I hated that they were limited edition because I really loved the formula and the colors that MAC whipped up were really something nice. Lucky for us, MAC doubled back on Vamplify collection and re-released it this summer including those beautiful Vamplify glosses that I just couldn’t stop wearing. Yaaaaas! Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who thought the Vamplify glosses were due for a comeback because MAC brought back a handful of last year’s shades plus some new ones to fall in love with. I couldn’t be happier!

Let Your Skin Take a Deep Breath with Philosophy

Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Oxygenating Oil Free Gel Cream & Oxygenating Eye Gel Cream

When the sun is beaming and causing a sweat, the best thing you can do is take a drink of water and a deep breath. That’s exactly the approach Philosophy took with the new Take a Deep Breath Oxygenating Gel Cream and Eye Gel Cream. They’re like a breath of fresh air and splash of water for your skin. The Take a Deep Breath line is suitable for all skin types but it works especially well for environmentally stressed dehydrated skin. You’re probably thinking, “Environmentally stressed? What does that mean?”

The sun isn’t your skin’s only enemy when you step outside. Environmental factors like pollution, free radicals and even wind can cause signs of early aging, clogged pores and even dry skin. Who knew outside could be such a nasty place? Apparently Philosophy! The Take a Deep Breath skincare line is exactly what you need to add to your routine to moisturize, protect and replenish your skin.

Smashbox Culver City Coral L.A. Lights Blush & Highlight Palette Review

Smashbox Culver City Coral L.A. Lights Blush & Highlight Palette

Finding brands that you love is a great feeling but sometimes that love can blind you from seeing the beauty of other brands. I used to be a supreme MAC junkie but eventually I grew out of MAC and started trying other brands. Since I’ve started working for Ulta, I’ve discovered the beauty of Tarte, Too Faced and now Smashbox. I used to walk right past Smashbox without even noticing but I’ve come to realize that their products are actually pretty good. In fact, Smashbox is a seriously underrated brand that deserves a lot more love!

ColourPop Pillow Talk Matte X Lippie Stix Review

ColourPop Pillow Talk Matte X Lippie Pencil

Summer usually calls for bright, glossy lips but there’s nothing wrong with being a rebel and taking a walk on the matte nude side. ColourPop recently released a new line of Matte X Lippie Stix that sports an ultra matte, shine-free finish in a variety of shades. I picked up a couple of pinks, of course, but I also had my eye on a few nudes too. Especially Pillow Talk. I love me some brown and grey nudes so when I saw that ColourPop combined the best of both worlds with the new Pillow Talk Matte X Lippie Stix I was all over it.

Anastasia Beverly Hills That Glow Glow Kit Review

Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in That Glow

Anastasia Beverly Hills isn’t just the queen of brows anymore. She’s slowly but surely becoming the queen of highlighters too. The saga first began with her beautiful line of Illuminators. Now, she’s kicked it up a notch with her iconic Glow Kits which I think every makeup junkie needs to have in her stash. If not both, at least one! I just knew That Glow would be mine until I laid eyes on Gleam and realized how amazing it looks on my brown skin. I ended up adding Gleam to my collection first in hopes of skipping That Glow since I have so many gold highlighters. But there was no way I could resist That Glow for long. It’s too superb!

There’s always that one beauty product that tons of people rave about all over but is incredibly hard to find. The CoverGirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Bronzer is definitely one of them! Urban Decay Brightening & Tightening Complexion Primer Potion, Laura Geller Spackle Tinted Under Make-Up Primer, Urban Decay Naked Skin Bronzing Beauty Balm, Tarte Clean Slate Flawless Brightening Primer, NYX Honey Dew Me Up Primer Serum

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it a million more times. Summer is all about that glow, baby! A dewy, radiant complexion is a must have for summer because it makes skin look healthy and soft versus a matte finish that can sometimes look dry, cakey and mask-like. No bueno! I know everyone doesn’t like to go quite as highlighter crazy as I do (I pile that ish on!) and that’s okay. There’s other ways to get your glow on in a more natural, subtle way. Like by adding a brightening primer to your routine to give you an all over radiant glow that backlights your makeup and adds a luminous touch to your complexion. Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette, Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Extra Radiance Renewer, MAC Otherearthly Mineralize Skinfinish, Becca Topaz Shimmering Skin Perfector, Urban Decay Big Bang Vice Lipstick, Smashbox Culver City Coral L.A. Lights Blush & Highlight Palette

Man was June a hot month! And I’m not just talking about the weather. Last month, I touched (and bought) a lot of new makeup and skincare goodies that were unbelievably good. From the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick launch to the stunning Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow Collection, we were up to our ears in hot makeup releases all month long. Of course, I ended up giving into temptation for a few of them here and there (which I loved!) but I also got a chance to try a couple of not so new products that turned out to be great too. So great that I just couldn’t put them down all month long. Here’s an overview of my top picks for June:
