Too Faced Mascara Melt Off Cleansing Oil Review

Too Faced Mascara Melt Off Cleansing Oil Review

Is it just me or is it extremely hard to pack makeup and skincare? Most times when I pack for vacation, I bring an abundance of makeup and skincare products to cover my bases. No matter how much stuff I bring I always seem to leave something behind. Or forget about something completely. When I wash my face at home, I like to double cleanse with a cleansing oil and then a regular ol’ foaming cleanser afterwards to completely remove all of my makeup. Somehow, I almost always forget about double cleansing when I pack because I never remember to pack a travel cleansing oil. Ever.

Ipsy Gen Beauty NY Swag Bag & Haul Part One

Ipsy Gen Beauty NY Haul & Goodies

For the past week, I’ve been working on sharing my experience and goodies from Ipsy’s Generation Beauty New York but I’ve been so tired! Not just because I spent hours walking around mingling with other beauty bloggers and waiting in line to meet amazing brand reps. It’s mostly because I spent the majority of my weekend exploring New York (on foot 😩) and partying with my best friends who are avid members of #teamnosleep on vacation. In between mixing and mingling at Gen Beauty, I was up until around 5 a.m. (or later) soaking in the city and partying with my favorite girls in the world. I had a blast! However, I’m still incredibly tired an entire week later. I could absolutely go for some hibernation right now. LOL!

Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush Review

Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush

A clear, healthy complexion is easy to achieve when you have the right tools on hand. There’s a lot that goes into keeping your complexion in tip top shape including drinking lots of water, eating nutrient rich food, moisturizing and keeping your skin clean. All of which are easier said than done. If I had a dollar for every time I said I was going to exercise and eat better I’d be a millionaire by now. I just can’t seem to give up my precious pizza and various other junk foods but I always try to put my best food forward when it comes to keep my skin hydrated and clean. Which is only half the battle but a darn good start when carbs are your best friends. Gotta start somewhere right?

Mario Badescu Alpha Grapefruit Cleansing Lotion Review

Mario Badescu Alpha Grapefruit Cleansing Lotion

Dry skin is no fun but it doesn’t always have to be a pain in the butt. Not when you have the right tools! I always surprise people when I tell them my skin is seriously dry because I never walk out the door. But that’s only because I take moisturizing and exfoliating very seriously. Especially exfoliating. Some people are lucky enough to only have to focus on exfoliating once or twice a week but removing dead skin cells is a huge focus of mine. So much so, that I exfoliate daily. Yes daily. I can’t be walking around with dry, crusty skin under my makeup, girl!

New Clinique Skin Goodies!

New Clinique Skin Goodies!

I’ve been sleeping on Clinique! A while ago, I went to a cluster training to learn more about their makeup and skincare products and I was completely blown away by how well they perform. Especially at such affordable price points. I was very intrigued after training and ended up trying a few things from my gratis bag that I absolutely loved including All About Eyes and the Turnaround Concentrate Extra Radiance Renewer. I soon discovered that Clinique isn’t the “old lady” brand that I once thought it was. Now, I’m starting to see the magic of Clinique and I’m starting to become a huge fan.

Let Your Skin Take a Deep Breath with Philosophy

Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Oxygenating Oil Free Gel Cream & Oxygenating Eye Gel Cream

When the sun is beaming and causing a sweat, the best thing you can do is take a drink of water and a deep breath. That’s exactly the approach Philosophy took with the new Take a Deep Breath Oxygenating Gel Cream and Eye Gel Cream. They’re like a breath of fresh air and splash of water for your skin. The Take a Deep Breath line is suitable for all skin types but it works especially well for environmentally stressed dehydrated skin. You’re probably thinking, “Environmentally stressed? What does that mean?”

The sun isn’t your skin’s only enemy when you step outside. Environmental factors like pollution, free radicals and even wind can cause signs of early aging, clogged pores and even dry skin. Who knew outside could be such a nasty place? Apparently Philosophy! The Take a Deep Breath skincare line is exactly what you need to add to your routine to moisturize, protect and replenish your skin.

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink!

Chanel Lotion Douceur Gentle Hydrating Toner

Happy hump day! I hope you’re having a good week so far. If not, let’s turn it around with some pink! Usually I show you a nice pink lipstick or blush (or both) but this week I wanted to put the spotlight on skincare. I’ve said it a million times already, but summer is the ideal time of year to make sure you have a healthy, clear complexion that looks smooth, even and radiant. One of the most important tools in your summer arsenal to achieve that healthy, glowing complexion is toner. A good toner will help remove extra dirt, oil and makeup your cleanser left over, balance your skin, strengthen your moisture barrier and even offer some antioxidant protection against the environment in some cases. Toner is a really powerful product that is essential for summer because we spend so much more time outdoors soaking in all the sun, free radicals, environmental pollution and more.

Man was June a hot month! And I’m not just talking about the weather. Last month, I touched (and bought) a lot of new makeup and skincare goodies that were unbelievably good. From the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick launch to the stunning Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow Collection, we were up to our ears in hot makeup releases all month long. Of course, I ended up giving into temptation for a few of them here and there (which I loved!) but I also got a chance to try a couple of not so new products that turned out to be great too. So great that I just couldn’t put them down all month long. Here’s an overview of my top picks for June:

Summer Empties!

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Rich Cream Cleanser, Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner, Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask, Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Serum, Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Extra Radiance Renewer

Buying new beauty products is easy. There’s always something shiny and new around the corner that tempts us to switch products in the blink of an eye. I know I’m guilty for changing my lipstick, highlight, eyeshadow and more on a regular basis so it seems almost impossible for me to use up all my makeup. Skincare, on the other hand, is a little different. Once I find a good skincare product I stick to it until the death of it. That’s how I’ve managed to rack up a small pile of skincare empties this summer. From cleanser to serum, I’ve actually managed to make a commitment to a few beauty products until the very end. Here’s a quick rundown of all of my summer skincare empties:
