Estee Lauder 410 Shameless Violet Pure Color Envy Matte Lipstick Review
It can be easy to write off a line thanks to one bad apple but sometimes it’s important not to judge so quickly. Last fall, I picked up 2 of the new Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Matte Lipsticks and one of them, Extrovert, turned out to be a little rough. While I loved the color, the formula took a little bit of work to look its best. Which isn’t out of the norm for most vampy mattes but it was a little more than I bargained for at a $30 price tag.
Most people would probably steer clear of the Pure Color Envy Matte Lipsticks after having a bit of trouble with Extrovert but I already had Shameless Violet in my collection so I decided to stick with it. And boy am I glad I did! Shameless Violet turned out to be much better than her purple sister, Extrovert. Sorry Extrovert!
Shameless Violet is a vibrant violet with a cool undertone that’s a much better fit for purple lovers with dry lips. She’s a rather bold beauty but she looks great on lots of skin tones from fair to deep and doesn’t come with a whole lot of extra fuss.
Unlike Extrovert, Shameless Violet has a soft, creamy texture that applies easily without tugging or dragging across the lips. It glides on smoothly and evenly with full coverage in a single swipe and doesn’t miss any spots like Extrovert. It’s just smooth sailing!
Shameless Violet feels a lot better on the lips too. It wears comfortably for around 5-6 hours without bleeding, feathering orĀ disappearing from the center of my bottom lip. Had I judged the rest of the new Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Matte Lipsticks by Extrovert I would have seriously been missing out because Shameless Violet was a pleasure to work with. The complete opposite of Extrovert. If you’re a fan of fuss free purple lips then I highly recommend giving Estee Lauder’s Shameless Violet Pure Color Envy Matte Lipstick a go. You can find it at your local Sephora, Nordstrom and Macy’s.
I need to break mine out. It is a lovely color and seeing it on you I am glad I grabbed it.
You definitely need to pull it out! Estee did a good job with this one!
