January was a very long month for me but boy was it packed with a lot fun and new makeup! I did quite a lot of shopping over the holiday season so I had a ton of new goodies to play and fall in love with that made last month extra exciting and fun. From new skincare goodies to makeup palettes galore, I dabbled in a little of everything and ended up discovering some pretty cool products that I just couldn’t do without in January.

Fancie Faves: Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Eyeshadow Palette, NYX Cream Highlight & Contour Palette, Becca Afterglow Palette, NYX Nutmeg HD Concealer, Milani 01 Moisturizing Almond Coco Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatment, Smashbox X-Rated Mascara, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation 11.5

Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Eyeshadow Palette You can never go wrong with neutral eyes and the new Tartelette in Bloom Palette is loaded with warm neutrals that look amazing on my skin tone. I love that it’s dominated by silky mattes because it’s super easy for me to carve and define my hooded crease with ease. Plus, there’s 3 lustre shadows included so it’s easy for me to complete an entire look without reaching for another palette or eyeshadow singles. The Tartelette in Bloom Palette is a must have for spring and summer!

NYX Cream Highlight & Contour Palette in Deep NYX has been killing the game lately with their new line of highlight and contouring products. The Cream Highlight & Contour Palette (available exclusively at Ulta) has become one of my go to products to highlight and contour because it has a killer dark contour that adds some serious definition to my brown skin and one of the most gorgeous cream highlighters I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s hard to believe this baby is under $20 because it’s super pigmented, blendable and lasts all day without fading.

Becca Afterglow Palette Becca’s holiday collection cost me a pretty penny but I don’t regret a single cent! The limited edition Afterglow Palette has become my cheeks BFF as it’s loaded with 3 Shimmering Skin Perfectors and 2 Mineral Blushes that work like a charm. I used it all month to mix up my glow with the Shimmering Skin Perfectors and add a subtle flush of color with the silky Mineral Blushes. I hate that its limited edition though because it’s a palette that everyone needs!

NYX HD Concealer in Nutmeg I’ve been hooked on my NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer for years but I was quite surprised (and impressed) with the NYX HD Concealer once I tried it. Pretty much all concealers crease on me (thanks annoying fine lines) but the HD Concealer doesn’t settle as badly as other concealers I’ve tried and it’s incredibly easy to blend. The formula reminds me a bit of my NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer except it’s a little less drying so it tends to look a little better by the end of the day. Not too shabby for a $5 concealer!

Milani 01 Moisturizing Almond Coco Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatment Between the cold weather and all the mattes and liquid lipsticks I’ve been wearing my lips have been dying for a moisture surge. Thank goodness I finally spotted the new Milani Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatments because they have been heaven sent for my lips. Especially 01 Moisturizing Almond Coco. It’s formulated with a blend of natural oils including almond and coconut oil to hydrate and add shine. Which it does perfectly! I’ve barely touched any of my lip balms since picking up 01 Moisturizing Almond Coco. In fact, I’ve almost finished it completely within just a couple weeks and I’m itching to pick up another tube (or 2) because I don’t think I could continue on without it. It’s just so hydrating and it smells delicious!

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation #11.5 This foundation has been hiding in my stash for quite some time but ever since I’ve pulled it out it has become a staple in my routine. The Luminous Silk offers buildable medium to full coverage with a natural satin finish that looks and feels like I’m wearing absolutely nothing. Pretty much everyday at work someone asks me which foundation I’m wearing because it looks oh so flawless from morning to night. It even survived all my long nights in LA without creasing into my annoying fine lines or looking cakey and mask-like.

Smashbox X-Rated Mascara Falsies are great for faking the length and volume I wish my natural lashes had but nothing makes my eyes stand out quite as much as a little mascara on my bottom lashes. Last month, I fell in love with Smashbox’s new X-Rated mascara because it offers a nice dose of length, curl and even a pinch of volume to my bottom lashes without making them look hard, flaky or like tiny spider legs. I even apply it to my top lashes before popping on a pair of falsies as it helps to tame my super curly, bushy lashes making them look neat and refined while helping them blend into my falsies much better without leaving mascara residue on them.
