Months have passed since I started my search for the elusive Transylvania Soft Matte lip Cream and, by no surprise, I still haven’t found it. But what I did find is the new Black Cherry Tart Intense Butter Gloss and it’s definitely cured my lemming for that ol’ stupid lipstick. It’s so gorgeous!

Black Cherry Tart is a cool blackened grape with a soft glossy sheen and cotton candy-like scent. The formula is similar to the original Butter Gloss but so much better! I’ve always been a fan of the Butter Gloss formula because it’s super hydrating and feels so good on the lips but they’re super sheer. The Intense Butter Gloss formula picks right up where the original left off with intense pigmentation that you’d normally see from a liquid lipstick,

The combination makes Black Cherry Tart a seriously amazing vampy lip! It glides on smoothly with a slight thick texture that’s quite comfortable to wear. The formula lightly clings to the lips giving it a nice plush feel that’s moisturizing and doesn’t feel heavy.

Vampy shades can be a little hard to pull off but Black Cherry Tart is surprisingly easy to wear. It applies evenly with full coverage in a single swipe and doesn’t catch on to flakes or settle into lip lines much. There’s some slight bleeding and feathering but I found a primer or liner keeps everything in place for around 3-4 hours before Black Cherry Tart begins to fade into an intense stain. If you’ve been struggling to get your hands on Transylvania then I totally recommend snagging the new Black Cherry Tart Intense Butter Gloss instead. It’s like having a vampy lipstick and gloss all in one!
