MAC Pleasure Model Blush Review

I’m sure a lot of you ladies are heading into the new year with hopes of cutting down those impulsive makeup buys. It’s a great resolution and I’m going to let you finish that but…………..Pleasure Model is the best blush of all time! I seriously can’t get enough of it!

Pleasure Model was my first time trying the Extra Dimension blush formula and it certainly didn’t disappoint. In fact, I wonder why MAC hasn’t made the Extra Dimension line part of the permanent collection. They’re hands down the best MAC products I’ve tried! Pleasure Model is very finely milled and soft. It’s easy to pick up pigment with any type of brush. I prefer to use a fluffy natural haired one though. The formula is incredibly easy to blend and it melts seamlessly into the skin giving the most natural finish. Pleasure Model looks more like a natural flush of color than an outright blush on me. I just love it!

Pleasure Model is a warm copper toned orange with a slight sheen. I’m a huge fan of orange blush on brown gals so it’s no surprise this has become my everyday blush. As I mentioned earlier, Pleasure Model looks so natural against my skin tone and adds such a beautiful glow to my complexion. I think it would look lovely on lighter complexions as well! I’m not sure how cool toned ladies might like it I’ve seen Pleasure Model work very well for those with neutral or warmer undertones. Pleasure Model is pigmented so lighter ladies would have to use a lighter hand. The color and finish is very soft on me so I can build Pleasure Model quite a bit without looking overdone. It wears well for around 8-9 hours before I notice any fading.

I honestly can’t find one negative thing to say about Pleasure Model other than the fact that it’s limited edition. You can check out Pleasure Model online or at your local MAC counter. Happy hauling!

Rihanna for MAC Viva Glam 2014

Get ready to clutch those pearls ladies because MAC is bombing us with yet another year of RiRi! I know we’re all a little tired of the Rih-diculous madness that came with EVERY release (waiting rooms, extremely limited stock, ungodly release hours, etc) but this round is for charity so that makes things a little better, right? I don’t have any confirmed details for the Viva Glam RiRi online launch but I imagine because it’ll be a lot less hectic considering the proceeds will go towards the MAC AIDS fund. Plus it’ll be available all year round at all MAC locations so if it does sell out quickly online there will still be plenty to go around! (more…)

Best of 2013: Lipstick

I have a ton of faves in the lip category so I’ll keep my posts on them short and sweet! Naturally, all of my favorite lipsticks were from MAC. I’ve been a little biased this year lol. I can admit my addiction! However, I want to spend 2014 discovering other brands. It’s time to branch out you know? Anywho! On to my favorite lipsticks!

Best of 2013: Blush

Okay picking out my favorite blushes of 2013 was a no brainer! This year was definitely focused on natural looks. I spent most of the year rushing from one job to the next (or waking up at crack of dawn) so I always reached for blushes that looked natural and added glamour to my bare face.

Best of 2013: Concealer

I don’t wear concealer daily but oddly enough it was tricky picking out my faves for this category! I’ve discovered some pretty amazing formulas this year and I try to rotate them to get more use out of them. But I noticed no matter what concealer I tried to toss into my usual routine these babies held their place!

Best of 2013: Face

It’s so hard to believe that it’s New Year’s Eve already! This year has been an amazing one for Fancieland but I’m glad to see it go. I’m ready for new beginnings! I have so much in store for you guys in 2014 that I’m already giddy with excitement! But before I jump into all the new year goodness I want to celebrate 2013 one last time with a round up of faves. Enjoy!
