Fancie Faves

Clinique All About Eyes Serum, Laura Geller Lip Strip Smoothing Sugar Scrub, Milani Golden Light Face and Eye Strobe Palette, Juvia's Place Mini Masquerade Eyeshadow Palette, Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow Highlighting and Contour Palette, Fiona Stiles Miramar Invisible Loose Setting Powder

Now that we’ve got all of my January empties out of the way let’s move on to my faves, shall we? The plan was to get my faves and empties up together. But having a jam packed birthday weekend and then a crippling sinus infection the following week really threw me off. Way off. I’m talking mouth breathing for 4 days straight and putting my pants on backwards for an interview off. LOL!

Needless to say, January was a very long month but a lot of good came from it. Like ringing in the New Year and spending my birthday and Valentine’s Day with my amazing boyfriend. And trying a handful of new products that turned out to be the bomb.com. There’s nothing better than love and good makeup, right?

January Empties!

It Cosmetics No. 50 Serum Anti-Aging Collagen Primer, Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Turbo Face Serum, Prada Candy Eau de Parfum, Clinique All About Eyes Eye Cream, Bare Minerals Skin Longevity Vital Power Infusion

Let’s take a quick break from Project BOMB, shall we? You’ve probably noticed that I’ve picked up a ton of new goodies in the last few months but what you probably didn’t know is that I’ve also been determined to start using what’s already in my stash more. Whether you’re a beauty blogger or beauty enthusiast, it’s easy to get caught up in the hype of the hottest shiny new product but what really matters is actually using the stuff. No sense in wasting money on things you won’t use, right?

With this logic in mind, I decided to start going hard with a few products that I knew I could finish up with a little consistency and determination. In just a few months, I managed to finish up a handful of beauty products. Woo hoo! Most of it was skincare, of course, but I’m still pretty impressed that I was able to stick with these products for so long. Here’s a rundown of my January empties:

Clinique All About Eyes Review

Clinique All About Eyes

Dry eyes can be a huge pain in the butt. Especially if you wear makeup. Dry eyes can make concealer look cakey, crease and look, well, dry. I’ve struggled with my dry eyes quite a bit but things started to get better as I experimented with eye creams. I’ve only tried a couple of them so far with good results but it seems that I might have just found a new favorite in the Clinique All About Eyes eye cream. I’ve been using the Clinique All About Eyes cream for over a month now and I’m rather impressed with how well it hydrates and refreshes my parched eyes.

3 Products Your Skin Needs After 25

Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Overnight Recharging & Refining Moisturizer, Clinique All About Eyes, Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Serum

Let’s be honest. We aren’t going to stay young forever. It would be nice to discover that miracle fountain of youth but I don’t see it happening anytime soon. That’s why I’m putting together this quick “guide” to help you navigate your life when it comes to skincare after you turn 25. I’ve never had too many struggles with my skin before but I’ve noticed some changes to my skin after I turned 25. It began to feel even drier and required more moisture than it did a few years ago. I’ve developed some fine lines and thirsty spots that require constant moisture and attention. I freaked out for a second but I soon realized that I had to take a slightly different approach to taking care of my skin. Which is completely normal. Regardless of your skin struggles, we all could benefit from adding a few products to our skincare routines after 25 to make sure we age gracefully and give our skin everything it needs to look its best at all times.

My Intro to Clinique

Intro to Clinique

I hate to typecast brands but whenever I think about Clinique I immediately think “old lady brand”. LOL! Trust me when I say I mean this in the least offensive way but Clinique has always felt a little too mature for my taste. Or boring. When I first started as a Prestige Manager at my local Ulta I could have literally jumped for joy when I found out we had a certified Clinique specialist (lab coat and all!) to run the Clinique boutique and steer guests in the right direction because I had the slightest clue on what to do over there. Nor was I interested in learning, to be honest.

However, the more I worked at Ulta, the more I learned how diverse and functional Clinique can be. It’s totally not just for old ladies! In fact, Clinique has a little something for everyone at a reasonable price point that perfectly bridges the gap between drugstore skincare and makeup and the high end stuff. It wasn’t until I sat in at a cluster training with my beautiful Clinique specialist that I began to develop a strong liking to Clinique.
