January Empties!

It Cosmetics No. 50 Serum Anti-Aging Collagen Primer, Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Turbo Face Serum, Prada Candy Eau de Parfum, Clinique All About Eyes Eye Cream, Bare Minerals Skin Longevity Vital Power Infusion

Let’s take a quick break from Project BOMB, shall we? You’ve probably noticed that I’ve picked up a ton of new goodies in the last few months but what you probably didn’t know is that I’ve also been determined to start using what’s already in my stash more. Whether you’re a beauty blogger or beauty enthusiast, it’s easy to get caught up in the hype of the hottest shiny new product but what really matters is actually using the stuff. No sense in wasting money on things you won’t use, right?

With this logic in mind, I decided to start going hard with a few products that I knew I could finish up with a little consistency and determination. In just a few months, I managed to finish up a handful of beauty products. Woo hoo! Most of it was skincare, of course, but I’m still pretty impressed that I was able to stick with these products for so long. Here’s a rundown of my January empties:

Let Your Skin Take a Deep Breath with Philosophy

Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Oxygenating Oil Free Gel Cream & Oxygenating Eye Gel Cream

When the sun is beaming and causing a sweat, the best thing you can do is take a drink of water and a deep breath. That’s exactly the approach Philosophy took with the new Take a Deep Breath Oxygenating Gel Cream and Eye Gel Cream. They’re like a breath of fresh air and splash of water for your skin. The Take a Deep Breath line is suitable for all skin types but it works especially well for environmentally stressed dehydrated skin. You’re probably thinking, “Environmentally stressed? What does that mean?”

The sun isn’t your skin’s only enemy when you step outside. Environmental factors like pollution, free radicals and even wind can cause signs of early aging, clogged pores and even dry skin. Who knew outside could be such a nasty place? Apparently Philosophy! The Take a Deep Breath skincare line is exactly what you need to add to your routine to moisturize, protect and replenish your skin.

Clinique All About Eyes Review

Clinique All About Eyes

Dry eyes can be a huge pain in the butt. Especially if you wear makeup. Dry eyes can make concealer look cakey, crease and look, well, dry. I’ve struggled with my dry eyes quite a bit but things started to get better as I experimented with eye creams. I’ve only tried a couple of them so far with good results but it seems that I might have just found a new favorite in the Clinique All About Eyes eye cream. I’ve been using the Clinique All About Eyes cream for over a month now and I’m rather impressed with how well it hydrates and refreshes my parched eyes.

3 Products Your Skin Needs After 25

Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Overnight Recharging & Refining Moisturizer, Clinique All About Eyes, Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Serum

Let’s be honest. We aren’t going to stay young forever. It would be nice to discover that miracle fountain of youth but I don’t see it happening anytime soon. That’s why I’m putting together this quick “guide” to help you navigate your life when it comes to skincare after you turn 25. I’ve never had too many struggles with my skin before but I’ve noticed some changes to my skin after I turned 25. It began to feel even drier and required more moisture than it did a few years ago. I’ve developed some fine lines and thirsty spots that require constant moisture and attention. I freaked out for a second but I soon realized that I had to take a slightly different approach to taking care of my skin. Which is completely normal. Regardless of your skin struggles, we all could benefit from adding a few products to our skincare routines after 25 to make sure we age gracefully and give our skin everything it needs to look its best at all times.

Valentia Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask + True Glow Eye Cream Review

Valentia Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask + True Glow Eye Cream

If you follow me on Snapchat, then you probably noticed that I’m becoming a bit of a skincare junkie. The older I get, the more I become a huge advocate of taking care of my skin so that my makeup has a clear, healthy canvas to look smooth and flawless every time. Because let’s face it. Sometimes makeup isn’t always to the problem as to why skin is oily, dry or breaking out. It can definitely play a factor in the way skin behaves but most times it’s because the skincare balance is off. Healthy skin is all about balance!

Now that I’m learning more and getting more involved in the skincare world I’ve been a lot more open to trying different products. Recently I was sent the Ultra Hydration Plumping Mask and True Glow Eye Cream to add to my routine courtesy of Valentia and I was eager to give them a try. Both products are formulated with natural ingredients like Vitamins C and E, hyaluronic acid and more so I had a feeling they would fit well into my skincare regimen.

Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm Review

Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm

Dry skin is a hassle no matter where it is but I think it can be the most challenging when it’s your eyes. Dry eyes can really wreck a good beat from making concealer crease and look cakey to even causing your eyeshadow to crease and go on patchy. Since I’ve turned 25, I’ve been suffering from chronic dry eyes that have become a real pain in my ass. I’ve tried a couple of eye creams now that seem to help a great deal but I knew it was time to kick it up a notch with an eye cream specifically designed for treating and nourishing dry eyes overnight. That’s why I didn’t hesitate to pick up the new Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm when it popped up at Ulta.

Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base, Bobbi Brown Extra Balm Rinse, Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream, Urban Decay Bittersweet Afterglow Blush, Urban Decay Bittersweet Revolution Lip Gloss

TGIF! This has been an especially long week but it wasn’t all bad. There was some fun stuff tossed in. Like for instance, I was off today, so I went and grabbed the new limited edition Milan liquid lipsticks and then got my nails painted a pretty pink. I also got a chance to learn a lot about Bobbi Brown products and play in some new Urban Decay goodies I picked up a while back. So I’d say this week wasn’t too bad!
