January Empties!

It Cosmetics No. 50 Serum Anti-Aging Collagen Primer, Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Turbo Face Serum, Prada Candy Eau de Parfum, Clinique All About Eyes Eye Cream, Bare Minerals Skin Longevity Vital Power Infusion

Let’s take a quick break from Project BOMB, shall we? You’ve probably noticed that I’ve picked up a ton of new goodies in the last few months but what you probably didn’t know is that I’ve also been determined to start using what’s already in my stash more. Whether you’re a beauty blogger or beauty enthusiast, it’s easy to get caught up in the hype of the hottest shiny new product but what really matters is actually using the stuff. No sense in wasting money on things you won’t use, right?

With this logic in mind, I decided to start going hard with a few products that I knew I could finish up with a little consistency and determination. In just a few months, I managed to finish up a handful of beauty products. Woo hoo! Most of it was skincare, of course, but I’m still pretty impressed that I was able to stick with these products for so long. Here’s a rundown of my January empties:

Black Friday Haul!

It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Your Perfect Pink Duo, Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara, Becca Blushed with Light Palette, PUR Cosmetics Elevation Perfecting Highlighter Palette, Buxom Bundle Up Baby Swatches on Dark Skin

Time is seriously flying by because Black Friday was almost a month ago and Christmas is next weekend. Crazy right?! As you can imagine, Ulta has been bananas so my schedule has been hella crazy. So crazy that I’m somehow just managing to share my Black Friday goodies with you. Better late than never, right?

Ipsy Gen Beauty NY Swag Bag & Haul Part Two

Leaders 7 Wonders Amazonian Acari Anti-Pollution Mask, Pur-lisse Blue Lotus + Seaweed Treatment Sheet Mask, Befine Skincare, Josie Maran Argan Balm, Skinfix Foaming Oil Cleanser, Make Beauty Dual Phase Eye Makeup Remover, Derma E Overnight Peel, Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub

You didn’t think I forgot about showing you day 2 of Ipsy’s Gen Beauty NY? I wouldn’t do you like that, girl! It’s been a busy week trying to catch up on some much needed rest after spending the weekend in the city that never sleeps. But my tired body is finally coming around and recuperating from all the excitement Gen Beauty had to offer. The first day was pretty insane and incredibly overwhelming considering it was my only my second time going. Not to mention braving all those large crowds and massive brands on my own. Gen Beauty was still a magical experience though that may have initially left me drained but ultimately inspired.

You guys have no idea how much I’d love to spend every waking moment creating new content, looks and (in the future!) videos to share with my all time favorite people. There’s nothing in the world more inspiring and motivating than knowing that there’s other makeup junkies and divas who appreciate and can relate to my passion for beauty.

Ipsy Gen Beauty NY Swag Bag & Haul Part One

Ipsy Gen Beauty NY Haul & Goodies

For the past week, I’ve been working on sharing my experience and goodies from Ipsy’s Generation Beauty New York but I’ve been so tired! Not just because I spent hours walking around mingling with other beauty bloggers and waiting in line to meet amazing brand reps. It’s mostly because I spent the majority of my weekend exploring New York (on foot ?) and partying with my best friends who are avid members of #teamnosleep on vacation. In between mixing and mingling at Gen Beauty, I was up until around 5 a.m. (or later) soaking in the city and partying with my favorite girls in the world. I had a blast! However, I’m still incredibly tired an entire week later. I could absolutely go for some hibernation right now. LOL!

It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara Review

It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara

Finding a good mascara can be a challenging feat but the new It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara is definitely making life a little easier for makeup junkies. I think we can all agree that long, luscious full lashes are every gal’s dream but that false lash effect isn’t always achievable without actually applying a glamorous pair of falsies. However, It Cosmetics is getting us one step closer to the lashes we dream about with the new Superhero Mascara formulated with Elastic Stretch Technology to boost volume, add length and condition lashes with every coat. Sounds fancy, right?

If I had to sum up April in one word it would probably be: haul. I hauled a lot of new stuff last month. Between Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty and all of the spring and summer collections seemingly dropping at once I just couldn’t help myself. April definitely ate up a lot of my coins! On the bright side, I got to try a lot of different new products that I ended up loving and getting a lot of use from. In fact, I discovered a few products that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to live without again. So I’d say April was quite a success! Here’s a rundown on all of my favorite products last month:

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder Review

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder

When you have dry skin and fine lines setting powder is probably one of your least favorite products. For people with normal to oily skin, setting powder is this miracle product that refines foundation and concealer for an airbrushed look that’s smooth, shine-free and flawless. For dry skin, setting powder just makes skin look more dry and even cakey as it accentuates texture and fine lines. Pretty much everything you’re trying to hide. I’ve had my fair share of struggling with both dry skin and fine lines and it’s no fun–especially when setting powders are involved.

I’ve gotten a handle on my dry skin quite some time ago but I’m still struggling to diminish my fine lines which causes some annoying creasing issues under my eyes with every concealer I’ve ever tried. The key to keeping concealer from creasing is setting powder but for years I’ve struggled to find just the right one to alleviate creasing without making my dry under eyes look even more dry or cakey. At first, the best I’ve found was the NARS Loose Light Reflecting Setting Powder which works well but can start to look dry if my brush or sponge picks up too much product. Thanks to Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty, though, I was tempted to try It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder and I think it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Haul: Day 1

Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Haul

Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty is now in full effect and I’m already clutching my wallet because I just know I’m going to go broke. There’s just too many good deals! Day 2 had some pretty nice deals but Day 1 was where it was at for me. Yesterday’s Beauty Steals included Prestige makeup and skincare including a cleanser, setting powder and lipsticks. Of course, I bought them all. The steals were just too good to pass up!

It Cosmetics Love is the Foundation Brush Review

It Cosmetics Love is the Foundation Brush

We’re well past Valentine’s Day but I’ve been feeling the love for quite some time thanks to It Cosmetics limited edition Love is the Foundation Brush. It released back in October for Breast Cancer Awareness month but my store received a random shipment of them recently and I couldn’t be happier to pick it up. Not only is the It Cosmetics Love is the Foundation Brush insanely beautiful but it’s so plush and soft that I just had to add it to my collection. I needed it!
