The Lip Bar is a Detroit based makeup brand that specializes in making beautiful funky colored lipsticks. It was founded by Melissa Butler who sprinkled her unique blend of #blackgirlmagic to manifest a successful business that empowers women and makes them feel sexy. After her failed pitch on Shark Tank, Melissa used the harsh criticism to turn the Lip Bar into a powerful black owned makeup brand that is now sold at Target. Talk about an inspiration! You go girl!
Happy Monday, darlings! Project BOMB is still underway and now that we’ve got the lips covered with Iman, we can move on to the eyes with Juvia’s Place. Juvia’s Place is a newer brand that just popped up on the scene a couple of years ago with their vibrant African-themed eyeshadow palettes that are crazy pigmented and out of this world beautiful. For months, I had been eyeing a few of Juvia’s Place eyeshadow palettes because the color schemes are so unique and I’ve seen so many people raving about how awesome their eyeshadows are.
