Algenist Splash Hydrating Setting Mist Review

Algenist Splash Hydrating Setting Spray Review

It doesn’t matter how warm, humid or sunny it feels outside. My skin is constantly dry! Well, not all the time. Just enough for it to get annoying sometimes. It would be nice if I could simply carry around a little jar of moisturizer in my makeup bag to slather all over for touchups. But alas, my beat face days don’t always allow me to do this. So I have to make sure I load up on my moisture fix before I even leave the house. That’s why I’ve been absolutely over the moon about the new Algenist Splash Hydrating Setting Mist. It’s like an extremely fine mist of moisturizer and serum all in one. I just had to share it for Skincare Sunday!

Bare Minerals Brilliant Future Age Defense & Renew Serum Review

Bare Minerals Brilliant Future Age Defense & Renew Serum Review

A good moisturizer is a great start if you really want to start taking better care of your skin. If you’re looking to kick things up a notch and really target those skin concerns, though, you’re going to need a good serum to go along with your moisturizer. Serums are formulated with stronger, more potent ingredients as well as larger doses of essentials oils and such for deeper penetration and nourishment. Basically, they’re essential for keeping your complexion clear and healthy!

Skincare Sunday: Current Faves

Skincare Sunday: Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe Herbs and Rosewater, Tarte Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment, Clinique All About Eyes Serum

It’s Skincare Sunday loves! Every Sunday, tons of beauty junkies share their favorite skincare products or current routines on social media and I thought it would be a fun idea to swing it over here. Skincare is really starting to become a passion of mine so I’d like to start having a little more skin talk with you guys.

Who doesn’t want to look flawless without makeup? I know I do! And I know you do too, girl! That’s why I can’t bear to leave you hanging without sharing some of my skin secrets. So here’s a quick rundown of some new goodies that have quickly become my faves. Enjoy!

January Empties!

It Cosmetics No. 50 Serum Anti-Aging Collagen Primer, Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Turbo Face Serum, Prada Candy Eau de Parfum, Clinique All About Eyes Eye Cream, Bare Minerals Skin Longevity Vital Power Infusion

Let’s take a quick break from Project BOMB, shall we? You’ve probably noticed that I’ve picked up a ton of new goodies in the last few months but what you probably didn’t know is that I’ve also been determined to start using what’s already in my stash more. Whether you’re a beauty blogger or beauty enthusiast, it’s easy to get caught up in the hype of the hottest shiny new product but what really matters is actually using the stuff. No sense in wasting money on things you won’t use, right?

With this logic in mind, I decided to start going hard with a few products that I knew I could finish up with a little consistency and determination. In just a few months, I managed to finish up a handful of beauty products. Woo hoo! Most of it was skincare, of course, but I’m still pretty impressed that I was able to stick with these products for so long. Here’s a rundown of my January empties:

Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Giveaway!

Philosophy Take a Deep Breath Giveaway

Hey girl! It’s been a few days since I’ve touched base with you and I’m feeling a little bad about that. If you follow me on Twitter and Snapchat (you should to see goodies first!) then you’ve probably been waiting on my Ulta holiday haul posts that I’ve been teasing you with for almost a week. I’ve just been so busy, girl! I’m getting back into the swing of things though and I want to give you a chance to win a couple of my favorite skincare goodies as my way of saying sorry for the wait. ‘Cause free gifts always make an apology better, right?

Ipsy Gen Beauty NY Swag Bag & Haul Part Two

Leaders 7 Wonders Amazonian Acari Anti-Pollution Mask, Pur-lisse Blue Lotus + Seaweed Treatment Sheet Mask, Befine Skincare, Josie Maran Argan Balm, Skinfix Foaming Oil Cleanser, Make Beauty Dual Phase Eye Makeup Remover, Derma E Overnight Peel, Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub

You didn’t think I forgot about showing you day 2 of Ipsy’s Gen Beauty NY? I wouldn’t do you like that, girl! It’s been a busy week trying to catch up on some much needed rest after spending the weekend in the city that never sleeps. But my tired body is finally coming around and recuperating from all the excitement Gen Beauty had to offer. The first day was pretty insane and incredibly overwhelming considering it was my only my second time going. Not to mention braving all those large crowds and massive brands on my own. Gen Beauty was still a magical experience though that may have initially left me drained but ultimately inspired.

You guys have no idea how much I’d love to spend every waking moment creating new content, looks and (in the future!) videos to share with my all time favorite people. There’s nothing in the world more inspiring and motivating than knowing that there’s other makeup junkies and divas who appreciate and can relate to my passion for beauty.

Too Faced Mascara Melt Off Cleansing Oil Review

Too Faced Mascara Melt Off Cleansing Oil Review

Is it just me or is it extremely hard to pack makeup and skincare? Most times when I pack for vacation, I bring an abundance of makeup and skincare products to cover my bases. No matter how much stuff I bring I always seem to leave something behind. Or forget about something completely. When I wash my face at home, I like to double cleanse with a cleansing oil and then a regular ol’ foaming cleanser afterwards to completely remove all of my makeup. Somehow, I almost always forget about double cleansing when I pack because I never remember to pack a travel cleansing oil. Ever.

Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush Review

Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush

A clear, healthy complexion is easy to achieve when you have the right tools on hand. There’s a lot that goes into keeping your complexion in tip top shape including drinking lots of water, eating nutrient rich food, moisturizing and keeping your skin clean. All of which are easier said than done. If I had a dollar for every time I said I was going to exercise and eat better I’d be a millionaire by now. I just can’t seem to give up my precious pizza and various other junk foods but I always try to put my best food forward when it comes to keep my skin hydrated and clean. Which is only half the battle but a darn good start when carbs are your best friends. Gotta start somewhere right?
